President Obama, on a number of occasions, promised that the health care discussions would be aired on C-SPAN.

Now, it appears, he's reluctant.....perhaps, even, reneging.

My question is why??

Might have something to do with him not setting rules for Congress. You know, balance of powers, and all that. That stupid constitution stuff. He doesn't have the power to tell congress what to do.

Yeah, but I, as an American citizen, have the right to see these events televised, correct? From what I've heard, even C-SPAN, themselves, want to televise. Apparently, they're being told no. If so, that sucks.....big-time.

Things are getting closer to the playoffs, so, yes. However, even if I didn't, this is a matter of principle. There's no legit reason to deny coverage, IMO.

So tell me if I'm misrepresenting you:

Most people couldn't care less about C-SPAN, but it's on all the time for things like Jonas Brother's talk about diabetes or the discussion on costs of Korean Unification or vote to the motion to consider the motion to reconsider the reauthorization....

and yet when there's a bill that is attempting to be passed solely along a party line that most Americans don't want to have happen, all "debate" (in other words, horse-trading) is going to be hidden from view? Just as I'm positive that the people voting on it won't read it (that's what they have staff for, right?) I don't have to watch CSpan 24/7--as long as one person does and reports what's going on.
