A new movie coming out right before the election . . . just in time to scare the Libs.

Yeah. I'm frightened by the usual bullshit that we've heard for the past 30 years.

So, the symbol of responsible spending by the government is Reagan?

the guy who raised the debt a significant amount?

Shouldn't the symbol of responsible government spending actually be Clinton?

wait, Reagans deficit was all Carters fault (just as Bush's deficit's were caused by Clinton's economy).

I think they need to just flash through the Road to Serfdom cartoons.....

Yes, if only we could see the Road to Serfdom cartoons, our lives would be complete.

I could make it more effective than the movie!

Both parties have been profligate with our money. Now we need to find a way to fix it. Either we significantly reduce the size of government, or we accept an across-the-board massive tax increase for everyone that redefines the relationship between the government and its citizens.

remind me tomorrow, I'll throw together a Road to Serfdom movie trailer.

Or we just tax the uber-wealthy more and end the practice of subsidizing businesses and religions.

To answer the title of this thread:

FUCK YOU, you money grubbing, gun toting, marlboro smoking, jean cut-off wearing neo-con son of a gun.

I don't really think these kinds of movies have proven to be terribly effective at moving the needle in politics. Fahrenheit 911, Bowling for Columbine, Food Inc, Religulous, Expelled, Sicko....none of them really seemed to effect elections or do much beyond preaching to the choir.

they're more offputting and whiny than anything.
