I've never agreed with you more aside from gay marriage being a human right
There is no such thing as "gay marriage". There is marriage. Fortunately, at least for now, same race and interracial couples, same religion and interreligious couples, same sex and opposite sex couples, disabled and non-disabled all have the same legal rights to the same legal marriage. It has not always been this way. There are those who don't like that equality in marriage is current law. They want to go back. They hope that Trump, Congress, and a far right Court will do that. They will have a hell of a fight on their hands.

@MarAzul was very gay when he got married. It's just that the gays have taken that word from him and changed the meaning.

So has S2 come to a conclusion on where we stand on this matter?

Yay or nay?

Jesus fucking Christ.

Marriage has been a religious institution in this country forever. I just read a website that claimed the first marriages were a way for a man to legally have a female slave.(not here, ancient history)

Seeing as how I wasn't around back then I don't know or care. I didn't want to get married because I'm not religious. Unfortunately the government keeps many rights from people who don't get married so eventually I had to.

If you want to label things as gay or straight there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to nitpick something I've been for the last 20 years (waaayyyyy before your anti illegal immigrant candidate was, flip flop Hiliar)

Nope, wrong as usual. Marriage is a civil and religious institution. It is legal with no religious ceremony at all. I don't label things gay or straight, MarAzul did by referring to "gay marriage".

And yes, SlyPokerDog, we definitely had a gay old time at my cousin's wedding to his husband. Even the straight folks were gay that night!

I don't see christians being silenced and not currently having a voice in politics so I don't think any changes need to be made.

why not tax states, county & cities, they all remove property from tax rolls, and all get involved in politics

So states, counties and cities should pay property taxes to themselves?

I like it!

In Salem the state owns lots of very valuable property taken off the tax roles. makes everyone in Salem pay a higher tax than needed and disproportionately charges people in Salem a higher tax than if all the property was on the tax roles.
Also it looks like the federal govt owns over 1/2 the land in the western states, creates higher taxes, less land to tax.

When is Trump going to start tweeting the Johnson Amendment and telling the Johnson Amendment about how overrated it is and that it is failing. Until then, I don't think it is going to be a high priority for him.
