...in 2012, following his Junior year?

Wow, talk about a fallen star.

Amazing, isn't it. He stayed, could've been a 1st round pick stunk it up his senior season and now has missed the first 2 rounds.

He probably would have gone to miami instead of ryan tannahil or whatever his name is. He is going to lose millions on his first contract because of that.

He didn't just go undrafted in the second round but the third round as well. The second day had both the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Tomorrow is rounds 4-7. The best he can be now is a 4th round QB.

I'm honestly more surprised that Barrett Jones is still on the board. I don't know what caused his fall, but the guy won three rings starting at three different positions on the O-Line, won the Outland Trophy, and was a two-time unanimous All-American/All-SEC selection. I'd rather have him starting at center for my Saints than De La Puente. Looking at who needs help at center, he could go to the Packers in the 4th tomorrow... the rich getting richer.

I had a bet with someone on a Duck site from last year that Barkley would drop out of the first round. Guess who isn't honoring that $100?

Seahawks have 10 picks today (1 in 4th, 3 in 5th, 2 in the 6th and 4 in the 7th). Jones is a good thought. I also like Quinn Sharp (All-American Punter/Kicker combo) with one of the picks (late 5th/6th?).

When'd ya'll make that bet? Sounds like a pretty stupid bet to make on his part unless it was before the season started, and if that's the case, pretty ballsy on your part.

I'm surprised Jordan Poyer hasn't been drafted yet.

Anyone think Chippy drafts Kenjon Barner?

We made it before the season. I just didn't see franchise QB, because Barkley is only 6'2" and has an average arm.

Interesting that a CB with so-so size but was a first team all american lasts until the 7th round. Not sure what the draftniks thought the knock on Poyer was. Kiper had him going in the 3rd round. Oh well, with the Eagles atrocious secondary I'm sure Poyer will have every opportunity to get on the playing field next year.

I'm not going to lie and say I watched a ton of USC the last few years, but I thought I saw Barkley make some pretty amazing throws to Lee (of course that could be more on Lee than Barkley).

Just pay the man his friggin' money so he'll let the situation go! :MARIS61:

...he ran a lousy 4.65 :dunno:

I read it was a 4.54 with only a 30.5 inch vertical jump.

Sometimes they need to just realize a good football player regardless of his athleticism. A good athlete does not make a good football player. I think Poyer will be fine.

People get indoctrinated into staying in college, it just doesn't make sense most of the time.

I'd try to graduate from High School early if anything, to get past the 3 year rule in the NFL.

I dig the NBA's age limit, but I agree 100% when it comes to coming out early in the NFL.

Just look at the guys from South Carolina. Clowney would have probably been the unanimous #1 pick if he were allowed to come out this year, and yet, if Lattimore had come out a year earlier, he'd be a top NFL running back right now instead of an injured fourth round pick.

What's the problem with Collin Klein? I see that he just signed with the Texans for their camp, but damn, I didn't even realize he available in this draft.

How is a guy that was a Heisman candidate all year long, who led a mediocre program like K-State to the Fiesta Bowl, considered a completely undraftable prospect as a QB? What am I missing here? All year long, I watched "Optimus Klein" cut through Big-12 defenses, yet apparently, he's undraftable, even in the 7th round...

Someone please enlighten me. I've watched college football since I was a kid, but back in high school, I only played a year of v-football before I started focusing solely on basketball, and even when I played football, I played linebacker, so I have no idea what goes into making a good quarterback. The intricacies of football are still over my head to this day.

I think he as seen as a runner (23 rushing TDs vs 16 throwing this year) who doesn't have the arm/quarterback skills to be successful in the NFL. Russell Wilson could throw in college (was only not a 1st rounder because of his height), as could RGIII. I never saw much of Klein, so I can't comment on what I think of his potential QB skills, but that seems to be the consensus.

On another note, I know you said you were a fan of Scott Fujita. I'm sure you've seen this already, but I hadn't seen it posted anywhere here. So fucking bad ass that he signed a 1 day contract w/ the Saints and retired from Manchu Pichu.

Klein got exposed in the Oregon game. You have to be able to make all the throws or a defense will make you pay. I think the kid from Syracuse is equally limited.

Barkley made a mistake. His stock could only go down. I thought Luck made a mistake too and should have come out early. He now will miss one contract year in his prime.
