Like he did in the good ol' cake baking days....

It might be that the only way to get a 1st round pick is via trade (I don't think many picks will be sold, although this year might be a year where some teams discard picks)

I don't know if I remembered correctly, but it seemed that buying picks is a thing of a past

OTOH, I don't think his purchased picks ever amounted to much.

Rudy was a bought pick I believe. I know people weren't too high on him; but I thought he played well until he got injured.

With as bad as our bench has played this year I would love to have Rudy back. Stotts would have let him put up 6th man of the year type numbers.

Rudy was made for the Stotts system. And almost all other non-McMillan systems. He loved to help others and to be the glue.

I know a lot of people like to give Rudy crap but I agree that before the Ariza incident Rudy was a great player for us. Rookie 3 point record, great passer, good on the break. And as mentioned in this system on our bench he would be almost perfect

It's tough to buy draft picks when you can only dole out $3M a year (not per trade) with the new CBA. Unless you want to spend $2M for Armon Johnson. Then you can buy anyone's pick.

That's no fun. :(

i think teams will be more willing to jettison picks in the new cba, assuming they already have their team set...if a team is a repeater tax team they might end up spending 5-6 million on a pick in the 20s

Do we really need another young guy this next year?
