Funny, it strikes me as the need to get the dirty corruption out of government and leave people to be as political as they will. The RIGHTS OF ASSEMBLY AND PETITION were pretty much unfettered until the Income tax was implemented. The 16th amendment has no definition of income. It is a complete stretch to attempt to deem donations to an organization which has the right of assemble as income. Everyone knows that people need to assemble to for political purposes and that takes money to be effective. This is why people donate. The 16th amendment does not interfere with this right as "income" is not defined, but
the implementation of this power to tax is reaching when donations for this purpose are deemed income. To do so should take another amendment which would never pass. Even if you hate everyone that would assemble under any name that included "Tea Party" in their name, they do have the right, and should have the right to collect donations to support their activity. Giving the IRS the discretion over this activity is mindless especially if you take a long look at the these people when they come before Congress. The grinning arrogant jackass in charge can not possibly be expected to serve your interests and mine.

I believe that the IRS technology is completely outdated . . . I also believe IRS (and other gov't agencies) are inherently intertwined with politic parties.
