Carlon Brown scored 26 points off the bench, including 11-12 free throws, and fellow sub Seth Tarver added 20 points and seven rebounds as the Idaho Stampede beat the Santa Cruz Warriors 100-91. Justin Harper added another 17 off the bench for the Stampede.

Idaho (9-18) held Santa Cruz (18-10) to just 36.0 percent shooting and forced 19 turnovers, which led to 18 points. Idaho committed 27 turnovers which led to 35 Warriors points, but the Stampede cleaned up on the boards, pulling in 56 rebounds to just 41 for Santa Cruz.

Idaho starters Justin Holiday, Josh Owens and Solomon Alabi combined for just 10 points, while Durrell Summers added 13 points and eight rebounds and Coby Karl totaled 12 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Travis Leslie led Santa Cruz with 30 points and six steals, while Stefhon Hannah added 14 points and five assists. The Warriors made just 5-of-25 three-pointers and never gained on the Stampede after getting to within three points under the three-minute mark.

Idaho plays the Warriors again tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. at CenturyLink Arena in downtown Boise.
