Ideas to Improve the Nets forum

The Nets forum has became much more active than it was before. It is a great place to discuss the team we love and improvements can make it even better place. I don't currently have any new ideas but I'm sure other members do. So here is a thread where we can share and discuss those ideas.

I was right about to make a thread about this you beat me to it NbaBaller.

The debate was the only idea I had. You said you have ideas tell us.

No unfortunately I don't have any ideas right now. I'm sure as members start posting in this thread, some ideas will pop into my head.

The most simple idea is just attempt to get more posters to post in the Nets forum. The more posters, the better the conversation/debate will be. It would great if these were intelligent posters that don't just post a couple of words on every Nets subject. This would be a great start. We currently have intelligent Nets posters but there is always room for more.

Currently our forum is really getting more members to post here. Maybe to gain more members we just put up stuff on our sigs that will gain more intrest for people to post here. Who knows we might finally get a lounge.

I have no ideas. How much better can it be? The only thing I can think of is getting J. Kidd to post with us...maybe we could have games where a member pretends to be a player like J. Kidd.

To get this forum more active, how about all you Nets fans post in the Magic section every now and then, and us Magic fans will stop by here and post. It will help both forums activity and will increase the number of discussions.

Well, you can start by getting a team leader. It looks to me like Henacy is really busy, and it doesnt seem like he stops by. Make NbaBaller your team leader, and get more members.

Well it is the off-season, not that much activity is going on. Once the season starts, I am sure the activity will sky rocket. I haven't been here during the regular season yet since I just became a member last month or so, but from other forums, activity seems to sky rocket during the season. We can start offical game threads talking about the game, Vince Carter will always throw in a few fancy dunks, something us fans will talk about for days and day. As far as the off-season goes, there isn't really anything happening besides roster transactions (which seem dead right now) and the draft, which was covered over and over agian.

Here are some ideas I came up with, feel free to argue and give your two cents:
1. Each day, the moderator or whoever (sorry for not knowing this lol) of the Nets forum could post a topic daily and we discuss it and debate one another. For example tomorrow you can start a "Jason Kidd's health this season" and we all reply with our views and opinions and than on Saturday, start a "Marcus Williams' playing time and contributions", and so on... This would surely bring out the activity from everyone, of course the topics have to be interesting and debatable.
2. Trade Section. Lets start a section where we can discuss trades that would benefit our team, or trades that we would love to see happen even though they are impossible in real life.
3. Start a section with personal experiences with the Nets players. I don't know if anyone here actually seen any players in real life or interacted with them, but I had to chance to caddy for Jason Kidd, and I told him how I was the biggest fan ever, which led me to keep his golf club, towel with signature, and a nice tip

4. Nets tickets section where we can talk about who has tickets for games, and maybe we can exchange tickets from each other, buy them from on another, anything relating to tickets and hooking each other up.

Thats all I can think of, I don't know if they are actually legit, but that's what I thought of from the top of my head...

Well Nets Fact or Fiction, might work better if people would also explain the reason for choosing their answer. It's pretty much the same, except you talk about more than one topic.

This idea is pretty good and it might work. What's everybody's opinion on this? If other posters think it's good, I can post the thread and ask a Mod to sticky it so it lasts some time.

I don't think these 2 threads would last that long. There aren't too many members in the Nets forum right now, I'm pretty sure most of us don't have much to say on those two topics.

Guys you have to go annoy one of the administrators for this.

Of course, I'm not suggesting anything.
