If Blazers moved to Seatlle and became the Sonics would you still root for them?

Its all business. If they moved to seattle because portland decided they didnt want to go to the games, i couldnt be mad at the decision. If they said fuck portland and left even though the rose garden is packed full, then yes i would be bitter and pissed off.

What would you do about your tattoo?
I doubt they'd keep the name or logo. Probably call them the "Sonics" or something like that.

In which case, The HCP's Blazers tattoo would be retro, vintage, and collector's item. Hmm...might make a cool lamp shade.... :evilwait:

I would suspect that there'd be far more outrage in Portland than there was in Seattle. They're used to teams threatening to leave (or leaving).

There would be riots (well, metaphorically speaking) if the team left. And if the team left and the history/name wasn't left in Portland it would be a miracle.

Not sure why, other then bored between games, this is something to worry about.

Not even if they moved to Seattle to be the Seattle TrailBlazers. I'd stop following the NBA.

I would be done with the nba. They are the only reason i pay any attention to it.

Wouldn't bother me. I live in Boise, and grew up a Jazz fan. What do I care where they decide to hang their Larry Steele jersey or their 2000 Northwest Division banner.

A) There was no Northwest Division in 2000. Blazers were in the Pacific Division.

And

B) The Blazers didn't win the Pacific Division.

It'd be ok, the lakers would move to PDX to become the Portland Lakers, and we could all wear purple and cheer for Kobe.

Is blazers gear a special code word for Seattle?

Not only no, but fucking fuck no. The team would be dead, the NBA would be dead and I'd hope every team in the league goes belly up and there would be a huge scandal tearing the league to it's core.

This sums it up pretty well for me.

Go Blazers

I would root for them, but only when I paid attention to them which wouldn't be very often. For instance, I wouldn't be posting in message boards.

Same deal as the Seahawks. They're from the NW so I root for them, but I don't pay attention much - I'm really a Steelers fan.

As a former Beaver, I root for OSU. But UO is from Oregon so I root for them when they're not playing OSU.

So yeah, I'll just go over thataway -> and shut my whore mouth.

That's cool. I actually have a friend that was a Sonics fan and is now an OKC fan. But he lives in Ohio and started to be a Sonics fan cause he liked Shawn Kemp. I figure if you've become a fan for some whacky reason other than living in Portland you'd probably still watch the team cause you still root for the players.

Most fans of most teams are fans of said team because they live in the city that the team plays in and that's the only reason they're fans. I know that's why I'm a Blazers fan. If they moved I would go to the city they moved to and incite a riot.

I root for Laundry. Bring on the Kansas City Trail Blazers!

I would become an arrogant Lakers fan and lord it over you team-losers.
