You know, stuff like actually be the president.

Donald Trump badly wanted to name John Kasich his vice presidential running mate, reportedly offering to make the Ohio governor the most powerful vice president in history.

According to a New York Times Magazine report on Wednesday, a senior adviser to Kasich spoke with Donald Trump Jr., the Republican nominee's eldest son, a few weeks after the Ohio governor suspended his presidential campaign and left Trump the last candidate standing in the GOP race.

The adviser said Donald Jr. offered Kasich a place on the ticket, and noted that his father's running mate would be in charge of both domestic and foreign policy, according to the Times.

When the adviser asked what that would leave for President Trump, Donald Jr. reportedly replied, "Making America great again."

Wall-building, however, is off-limits to the vice president. Strict boundaries (or should I say, borders) on that power.

"But Kasich effectively removed himself from the list by telling Trump in a phone conversation at the end of May that a joint ticket would be like two corporations with completely different philosophies and styles trying to merge,"

Can someone explain this to me? I have never understood how someone could possibly turn down a chance at being the Vice President. Each time it happens, I'm left just shaking my head in disbelief.... Shoot, even if (enter your most dispised S2 member here) asks me, I'd do it in a second. Are corporate kickbacks that much better being a Govenor??? I just don't get that....

Here is a very good post about the differences between Mitch Daniels and Mike Pence. One wanted to lead, the other wanted to push an agenda. I think Kasich wanted to be part of an administration that wants to lead the nation. Trump wants to push a series of agendas.

Sounds like a good choice. Wonder how much money Trump is getting to make Hillary president?

Ahhhh, I get it. A politician that actually wants to do his job properly, and help the people. I never considered that....

Good article btw. Thx

He is missing out on joining the legacy though.

"Mr. President, could the two of us use the oval office? We'll try to make it quick...."

It's the guys who've done the "presidency stuff" that have caused the most damage to the republic.

I'm a big fan of no "presidency stuff" or "congressional stuff" - except where it's life and death, or close to it.

They need to do lots of stuff. Just not like they think.

Our government is like a house on Hoarders. We have law after law piled up like old newspapers. 75 percent of them are either redundant or ineffective.

We need a good spring cleaning, actually that won't do. We need to empty the house and bring the things we need back in.

Our tax code is like a guy with 150 VCRs stacked on top of each other.

Our drug laws are like keeping a pile of used adult diapers for years. We know it stinks but can't let go.

Smart people have people smarter than themselves do all the work for them.

But if those people are even smarter, then they also understand how smart it is to get even smarter people to do all the work for them. Where does it end? Does it? Maybe the work never gets done.

The president isn't as powerful as people think. So it's funny that he'd want to give up what power he does have. What's the point in electing him then other than to elect a Republican ?

Some people want to view for him because they're tired of politicians. Yet he's offering to give up his responsibilities and power to who? A fucking politician!

Ha! Donald Jr. offered Kasich a place on the ticket.
Who will I be reporting to?
Tiffany.

I'd call him, I have a tape of "Scooby Doo on Zombie Island" that's been stuck in a VCR at my dads house for 11 years.
You can get a HD copy off the internet. Paying someone to take apart a VCR costs more than a new one did.

The first one I remember having was a top load. We had to stack dictionary after dictionary on the top to get it to play.

Can you even buy a new VCR at this point? I saw some bizarre "blu ray" vcrs like 5 years back.
