I have been looking around and it's much harder to find an obvious landing spot for Nurk than it is for CJ.
Thoughts?

Either way, this is actually a positive for the team's ability to retain him as an asset. Not much money out there for him unfortunately, especially given the league's general distancing from traditional Centers.
If we can land Simmons, I want to go all in on a small ball team by getting a defensive forward who can rebound and be a 3pt threat. Switchability is key, and if we can switch 3-5, that's invaluable in the playoffs as we are seeing.

Yep.
Nurk for Kuzma/22nd Pick
Nurk/DJ for Barnes
Zach Collins can be a token starter or something, but get someone that can conceivably play in the 4th quarters of close playoff games WITH Simmons.
kuzma is a liablity on both ends. i'd hope to do better, even with that pick involved.Yep.

they have a rookie center who is balling in isaiah stewart.I would LOVE to pair Jerami Grant with Simmons..... I'm just wondering if some combo of Nurk/Simons/Little could get him.

barnes is intriguing
If Collins could ACTUALLY consistently shoot three, he would be fucking perfect at center with Simmons.
Potentially elite defender. Supposedly a good outside shooter. The guy NEEDS to finally pay off.
Dame
Norm
RoCo
Simmons
Collins (healthy and living up to his potential)
That's a championship team.
Dan Marang (in his podcast today about CJ) said he is doing another on on Nurkic and in asking around, found that his value is decent.
Who is he asking, other team's reporters? I just find it hard to believe that an oft-injured center on the last year of his deal really has much positive value. I think other teams would be happy to buy low on him, but I doubt we'd get any significant value.

put up 13/11 PER 36 as a 19yr old with great efficiency. highly doubt they'd want nurk.
It worked specifically in that series because Gobert outside of catching lobs has no offensive game whatsoever. Nurk is at least a threat to post up, regardless of how maddening his quick flips are around the basket. And he is a threat as a passer from the high post. So we could at least have a similar advantage on our end as small teams would on their end. This C is dead stuff because of one series, and one particular C, is a bit overblown, IMO.Gobert, a traditional defensive oriented Center, was ineffective against the switching Clips, who used a Morris Twin as their big. They switched everything, and it worked.
So, getting a PF back for Nurk would be possible.
also worked because batum/george/leonard were unbelievable on defense-- nico especially was all over the place ( i hate that we didn't get him instead of Melo). It worked specifically in that series because Gobert outside of catching lobs has no offensive game whatsoever. oh hell no. Like the guy, hate the player. He and melo can go back to NY.id like to keep Kanter, honestly.

we need to target these 6-7 to 6-10 guys who can switch everything. Roco is a good start.

I can't believe you listen to that fraud and think that he has sources...Dan Marang (in his podcast today about CJ) said he is doing another on on Nurkic and in asking around, found that his value is decent.

lolMarang isn't even a good numbers guy. He keeps arguing that pace of play affects Defensive Rating as if Defensive Rating isn't a Per-100 possessions based stat....numbers guys like to stick togetherlol
Not to mention he’s one of the biggest Stotts homers out there. For that alone, he loses all credibility IMO.Marang isn't even a good numbers guy. He keeps arguing that pace of play affects Defensive Rating as if Defensive Rating isn't a Per-100 possessions based stat.
If Nurk is a top 5ish center, like some here think, we should have no problem getting a ton of value.
Sure, but the problem is, who wants/needs a center?
he was that in the season when he broke his leg and im sure hes gonna bounce back next season with bigger roleIf Nurk is a top 5ish center, like some here think, we should have no problem getting a ton of value.
