I think Rudy's scores were fair, but seeing JR Smith get around the same amount of points as Rudy for his awful lob from the stands dunk was sad.

i thought rudy's scores were fair, but all the other scores were inflated. dwight howard didn't have a dunk that deserved a 50. both of nate's first round scores were too high(of course i thought his dunks in the finals may have been the best of the contest). jr smith's dunks were rated a little higher than i would have as well.

Yeah, Dwight's were definitely too huge but he would have advanced anyway with a 46 or 47 (which he deserved) so I don't mind that. What bothered me is the whole Smith vs Rudy thing. Rudy deserved to finish a respectable 3rd.

I thought Rudy's first score was fair, if you take the air out of all the other scores, as you suggest. His second dunk, though, was quite exceptional and deserved a much higher score.

In all honesty, Rudy's first dunk was by far better than Nate's. The degree of difficulty, of the behind the back, off the backboard one handed slam, vs a Lob to windmill? come on.....

dwight and rudy should have advanced.

nate's dunks in the final round were great. his dunks before then were nothing special. and he had by far the worst dunk of the night.

Howard took a ton of attempts also and got a perfect score. In a past dunk competition, Nate took a huge amount of attempts on one of his biggest score dunks. I don't think number of attempts is supposed to affect score and I don't think they ever have...until Rudy, assuming that was the reason.

it definitely has effected it in the past. not every single time of course, but it still has effected scores in the past.
