If the GOP looses in 2016...

Denny, which person, if elected the next president, will generate the most posts and make you the most money?

I am undecided, so I might as well help you.

The phone rings at 3AM. It's Benghazi.

The ads write themselves.

Maybe 5 out of 100 Americans can find Libya on a globe, and none of them care what happens there. Americans want to feed their families and get healthcare for their families and provide a decent home for their families. They really don't have the time or incentive to care about a CIA agent spying on a third world country for big oil and big pharma.

things taken out of context make for a great political ad, you are correct.

But like I said, I hope they foolishly run those kinds of ads. They'll end up being foolish and insulting to the average voter. Benghazi was made into a huge scandal, when it actually isn't one.

If I was running the R's, I'd just run ads about how there has been a Clinton in office in 12 of the last 20 years...although the first 8 were good, so maybe I wouldn't.

Maybe run an add about what your guy WOULD do instead of bringing up some catch phrase/cliche/chain email type shit? It's not a wonder why the republicans have lost 4 of the last 6 presidencies AND 5 out of the last 6 in terms of popular vote.

Why didn't Hillary run ads saying what she would do instead of the 3AM ad?

Pot. Kettle. Black.

"What difference does it make" is exactly the thoughts of Democrats and fair-minded Republicans. When right-wingers think they score points by repeating her common sense question, the vast majority of voters are befuddled that warmongers think that it helps their side. Instead, you just look like juvenile wannabe trouble-maker brats and it costs you votes.

Better votes than the lives of people who reported to her.

The real egg on your smirking face is that your side never tries to answer her question because you have no answer.

come on...GOP didn't get Bin Laden after how many lives were lost? This is not balanced reporting. Plenty of innocents have died on the GOP watch, I did msg processing under Nixon during that war and this Hilary barb is nothing compared to what we logged and what he covered up. This is pure spin Denny and I've buried plenty of soldiers who reported to a Republican administration. I assume you're not a vet. That's why people posted in those embassies recieve hazardous duty pay, nobody seems to talk about that but they know when they sign up what they are signing up for.

If we had balanced reporting, Obama wouldn't have beaten Hillary for the nomination, no?

Make the case why she would be a good president. Nothing, nada, zip, zilch, from her past record says she would be.

Hillary ran the "phone rings at 3AM commercial" against Obama last time. Why would she do that if all their polling said they shouldn't?

Besides, it's all she really has to run on.

Denny must be in the top 1%

I think the 2016 democratic plan is marijuana. A well timed legalize vote will pump up the get out to vote campaign big time, which is almost all democratic base.

It certainly worked in Colorado. I think it would be smart politics, but bad social policy.

Ok, here's a question for everyone jump starting the election spin 2 years early. Who would you be happy with leading the country as our next president? Think outside the box, the brightest, most qualified leader available. Don't like the former candidates? Whose the answer? Rather than bash folks who've run and lost, what are the alternatives? I'll start with someone I respect that has no political ambitions. Warren Buffet. Yeah, he's rich but he's sensible.

Bobby Jindal. He might even be smarter than Bill Clinton, and is eminently qualified.

Mitch Daniels. Moderate Republican. Governor of Indiana with a very successful record - major turnaround after the recession of 2008. Was OMB director thru 2003. Worked in the private sector, too.

John Kasich. Moderate Republican. Governor of Ohio with a very successful record as well. He was Chairman of the House Budget Committee that forced Clinton into balanced budgets. He wrote the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, passed by republican House and Senate. Took a -$196B deficit and turned it into a $236B surplus in 5 years. Was in the private sector from 2001-2009.

Both governors, which means executive branch experience and they just move their staff to DC and hit the ground running.

Both know the tax and spending issues better than almost anyone else.

Both know the effects of government on the private sector, so they'll appreciate what signing Bills does to people.

I like Governor Moonbeam, but he's really too old.

Mitch Daniels is fantastic. I'm lukewarm on Kasich.

She's an awesome commodities trader.

Where did I ever say she'd make a good president? She may make a good one, not sure but she wasn't a terrible Secretary of State. To use the Ben Ghazi tragedy to brand her as incompetant is to ignore uncontrollable circumstances in volital regions. That's my point. I don't care who points that finger, it's a cheap shot and in the cases of Daniel Perlman or the guys who worked for Ross Perot in Iran or countless situations in foreign offices, this one is a speck of dust. "better votes than the lives of people she reported too? What are you talking about? That statement I found to be offensive.

To get back to the topic of this thread, put me on record as one who has been less than impressed with GOP administrations all of my life. Unless they come up with something radically different and innovative as a platform and actually have a process that leads to solutions, I hope they fade into the sunset.

Obama's net worth is $12M.

As of 2007, Hillary's net worth was $34M.

Uh, Denny, isn't the libertarian mantra "them that got the gold are them that deserve it, the rest are losers"? Pretty sure it is.

That would depend on how they got the gold or how they lost it.

I completely disagree. I rate her quite highly compared to previous SOS' s during my lifetime, although most of them were criminals or traitors, or madmen.

She's easily the most qualified of anyone mentioned so far as a candidate.
