Since they can offer him the most money, the Jazz appear to still be in the running to sign Big Z. Assuming that they get him, what do you think that does for their playoff chances?

BTW, with Shaq out 6-8 weeks with a thumb injury, I'm betting the Cavs are regretting their little deadline maneuver to get Jamison. Now, if they lose Ilgauskas...bye-bye LeBron?

If they get him, then they'll have two big white guys at center who prefer outside shots and play poor pick and roll and post defense.

In any case, I'll be shocked if he doesn't return to Cleveland; that's his best shot at winning a title this season.

Probably will sign with the Cavs, but his agent insists that a decision hasn't been made yet.

The Jazz can offer him considerably more than the Cavs and he had to accept a buy-out from the Wizards in order to get waived. He certainly wouldn't be the first guy to follow the money.

If he was younger I'd agree, but at 33 (or whatever he is) time is running out if he wants a ring, and he's made plenty of money.
