Who was available with the MLE/BAE that you think Neil should have gone after?

I'm just really curious. Obviously some of the guys that we discussed haven't signed yet, but all indications is that most of those guys signed or will sign deals that are well above the MLE.

I suggested before the moratorium we should go after Shawn Marion and Jermaine O'Neal.

I don't know, don't study the league on a daily basis, don't get paid sicx figures to analyze this, don't get to talk to other GMs or agents. How the hell do I know what is available and not available.

Does that mean we can't analyze moves that are made. Is every move made by the Blazers a good move? We just as fans say that is the best they could do so like it?

Why don't you like the Frye signing? What else would you have done with that money to fill the need Orlando needed? Can't just say all these other contracts are bad, have to give examples of what they should have done with the money?

I would have signed Andray Blatche and Beno Udrih but that doesn't mean I don't like this offseason. The guys that were signed were in my top 3 realistic singings for those positions.

Channing Frye signed a 4-year, 32 million deal. That's $8 million per year. We couldn't even come close to matching that type of deal.

I thought I heard Jermaine was pondering retirement.

Like I said, it will be hard to know if some of these guys could have been had for a reasonable price. I think Young is going to end up making around the MLE. I also don't see him leaving LA.

From everything I've heard, Hinrich is washed up. There's a reason why we haven't heard his name mentioned much, but Blake was supposedly fairly sought after.

I meant I was glad he at least had an option he liked instead of saying "I hate blake"... he had reasonable expectations. Even if he did say I hate blake I wish we had Hinrich it'd of been okay.

The Magic had cap space. They could afford to overpay to fill a need.

We did not have cap space. We could only afford the MLE to fill our need at the backup center position. Kaman was arguably the best we could do with what we had. Frye was a sought after free agent and the Magic probably paid him more than he was worth to secure his signature.
