The Giants win tonight it will be there 3rd world series in the last 5 years. The last time a NL team won as many as 3 WS over a 5 year span were the Cardinals of the 40s, would you label the Giants success over the last 5 years as a dynasty?

And when we compare these dynastic 3 WS titles with some of the other dynastic teams,
...the Giants will be at the bottom.

The SF Giants 3 WS Titles (in 5 years) will be described as the following:
A pretty good team which somehow managed to win 3 WS in five years.

A rather mediocre group of players with hardly an all-time type star amoung them.
Man for man, they couldn't hold a candle to the Bkln Dodger teams of the '50s,
those Dodgers had the misfortune of running into the Yankees.

I'll also take those Cards teams of the '60s (2 WS, 3 pennants in 5 years)
The Yanks of the late 70s (76-78, back to back WS and 3 straight pennants) over these "3" Giants' teams.


I might even say the Orioles of 1969-71 were better..and they won ONE World Series.

....Gov Cuomo (Democrat) changes his position from mandatory 21 days at Med facility and now favors VOLUNTEER isolation-

..nurse returns from infected Ebola area, gets put into isolation for 21 day period-
..complains and wants to be under voluntary quarantine at home-

...U.S. soldiers are mandated to a 21 day quarantine when returning from infected area/people-

...ACLU threatens a law suit because nurse's civil rights were violated-
....nurse is then allowed to do her 21 day quarantine at home with visits from family
(and friends?)

...U.S. soldiers WILL do their 21 day quarantine because the GOVT says so and they'll comply-
....U.S. GOVT knows very well that the 21 day mandated isolation is the best, safest way.


I hope not...but there could be a day when a very deadly airborne virus arises in some other part of the world and the usual American do-gooders, and big shits won't be able to help themselves from going to the infected areas and THEN we'll have a country approaching, possibly being on the brink of extermination while the politically correct politicians, liberals and lawyers strangle us until the end with litigation while not taking a firm decisive stance for the good of the NATION.

Hunter Pence is a good player.
Posey is a very good player and being a catcher, he's excellent.
Bumgarner - I've already said he's the real deal. Excellent pitcher- NOT PLAYER.
The rest of the starting staff ? -- don't make me laugh.
Mediocrity at it's best. Not many Hall of Fame votes 10 years from now. lol
Same can be said for their other 2 WS teams' starting pitchers.

It's a colossal fluke.


I never said the Giants didn't have any "good" players.
They just don't match up well with any of the other "dynastic" teams if we were to rank them team to team, man to man.


I don't/won't rank them above the Cards of the 60's, Yanks of '76-78 and the Bkln Dodgers of the 50's were a much better team and they won ONE World Series during that time.

Jeez...the Orioles of 1969-71 were BETTER.

Wave your Giants' flag all you want...nobody can ever take their WS titles away.
