I'll take Westbrook, please.

But fuck him. The Blazers kicked their ass after he flexed his muscles in the 3rd.
It was a punk move. And yes the flopping was out of control in the first half.
I think that was the play where Blanky was defending on a drive to the basket, RW changed direction and plowed into him, then RW made a great shot. What was lost in all that was, IMO, it was an offensive foul -- the type that will never be called on him, ever, so it's considered a great basketball play.

Wasn't there a game last year where RW was talking some shit to Lillard then Lillard shut him up? Anyone remember what I'm trying to remember?

...Westbrook's stats were inflated by all of the phantom whistles he was getting in KD's absence. Yeah he is fast. Yeah he plays hard. But no, he is not clutch.
This.

Yeah it was on TNT and he was yelling at Stotts. That's when Matthews started defending RW and he said "Lillard can guard me!"

After a few minutes Lillard did and started heating up.

It was totally an offensive foul. If you watch the replay, after the call Blake is like, "WTF?"

You're thinking about the game in Portland last year. It actually wasn't a good game for Lillard. Westbrook was lighting him up, so we put Wes on him and he starting bricking everything. Westbrook said something like "you scared?" or some arrogant bullshit. We won that game too.

"He scared of me! He scared!" Then he proceeds to freeze out Durant and play one on five.

Westbrook is amazingly talented, but he's the Incredible Hulk: you can get into his head. It wasn't going to work last night because he was already playing one on five. Just got to weather the storm and let him wear himself out.

That's it! The way to beat the thunder is to make RW do shit like this. Make him take it upon himself to win the game for you and he will use up all his energy and lose the game for you.

This is why I think the Durant injury may prove that OKC is in serious trouble

That's it!

I hope you are right but I am not so sure. I think once they get Reggie Jackson back they will be a 500 ball club until Durant gets back. Then they will get enough wins to make the playoffs. My concern is that all the experience the younger players will get while KD is out will help them in the playoffs.

The stupidity on this board is amazing. Every one of you guys would love Westbrook if he was a Blazer, but because he's on the other side you can't give him credit for an amazing performance.
He's a phenomenal player. He's also an insufferable dickhead.

Westbrook schooled Lillard last night, but, he ran out of gas and also was the benefit of some (not all) seriously questionable calls.

If I was in MENSA I would be too busy running the country to post on this forum with big hairy wookies.

Uh, Nate.....you are supposed to post by typing with your fingers. If you are pounding the keyboard with your "big hairy wookies"....you're doing it wrong!

This thread is moot. Dame didn't even play last night. There was some other guy out on the floor named Damian Lil-lard. He was accompanied by his teammate Damon Leonard.

I thought it was interesting that Brooks sat Westbrook so much of the 4th quarter when the Blazers were going on their run. I'm sure that he was trying to rest him, but I think that he also knew that Westbrook was taking some really crappy shots and trying to win the game by himself. A lack of basketball skill is not Westbrook's problem...playing team basketball sometimes is.

To the president of the Russell Westbrook fanclub! The Thunder forum is down the hall 4th door on the left. The one that smells like cow shit. You want Westbrook, that's your turf

A pity. There might have actually been a meaningful discussion to have about Westbrook ... and then S2 do what S2 do.

I wonder if the fact that they have a back-2-back tonight played a role in that

Nah, it's like having a meaningful discussion about Kobe. It's like starting a thread that says, I'll take Lebron please or I'll take Anthony Davis please. These guys are all adversaries to a Blazer championship. What point is there to praise them and start threads about them? What meaning would you take from that? Westbrook is coming off two injury plagued seasons and time will how far he'll take them without Durant but I'm not a fan.

I'll end this. Westbrook is a beast! He's a star and gets star calls. The kind I hope Dame gets more of. Don't understand how people hate on tough aggressive ballers from other teams! Give props where they are deserved please. I don't root for him, but respect his game. Very similar to how I feel about Blake Griffin.

I agree that Westbrook is a beast, I don't agree that he deserves his own thread on the Blazers forum though, nor Blake Griffin..that's not hatin', that's staking out your territory

You think this ends this discussion? Ha!

Nobody is saying that Westbrook isn't ridiculously talented. The gripe most of his detractors have with him is that he isn't a team player. Well, that and all of the flopping he gets away with...but that's on the refs for falling for it.
