I'll take Westbrook, please. (1 Viewer)

Any performance that involves choking when it matters is not an amazing performance.
For God's sake, KingSpeed, Westbrook carried that team on his shoulders for 3 quarters. There was no choking. Maybe some exhaustion, but not choking. If Lillard had poured in 38 points and 6 assists in a valiant losing effort, I don't think you'd be saying he "choked" just because he couldn't carry his severely depleted team to victory in the fourth quarter.

Now that you've seen how much better the Thunder play WITHOUT Westbrook, you can see how selfish Westbrook was against us. It was an awful performance. Ugly and selfish. Lillard had 20 points, including 12 in 4th quarter, vs Kings but I was not happy and do not consider it a good performance. His 10 point performance against OKC was better. You DO realize that if we ran our offense solely through Lillard that he can score 38 points every fucking night? No problem. But it's a team game and he has to pick his spots and play within the frame of team-oriented winning basketball.

And he did choke.

And if he was exhausted, that was HIS fault. He didn't pace himself to play a 48 minute game and didn't include his teammates so that they could be there for him if he struggled. It was an awful awful performance.

Wow. Now I know why Lillard got cut. He isn't even close to being in Westbrook's class. I love this guy's energy and determination. Lillard looks totally asleep.

Too many psychedelics? Can somebody que up Blowhard's rave pics? Brainiac?

I swear to God I thought this was from today.

Westbrook choked by getting a T and missing a FT. Meanwhile, Lillard does what is needed to WIN the game. Like he did on opening night. No "exhaustion" here.

Lillard>Westbrook

Checkmate

ESPN agrees: http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=400578716
OKLAHOMA CITY -- In a matchup of star Western Conference point guards, Portland's Damian Lillard made the big shots and Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook didn't.

ESPN's OKC blog definitely agrees: http://espn.go.com/blog/okc-thunder/post/_/id/127/lillards-heroics-westbrooks-miscues-doom-okc
In a exhilarating battle of two of the league's elite point guards, both had 40 points, but one did it poised and controlled, while the other did it wild and reckless.

Westbrook was a constant force throughout the game, dominating the Thunder's offense, omnipresent in everything they did. Lillard was free-flowing, scoring 22 in the first half, but stepping back in the third and early fourth as the game came back around to him in the final minutes. Westbrook needed a career-high 34 shots to get his 40; Lillard did it on 22, hitting 8-of-12 from 3.

Westbrook lost his cool in crunchtime. Lillard kept his.

Dame's song dedicated to Westbrook

Dame is way more articulate... more like NONE SHALL PASS!

[video=youtube;ZEBGCOCxLgA]

And I will remember your name and face
On the day you are judged by the funhouse cast
And I will rejoice in your fall from grace
With a cane to the sky like none shall pass

Right now: Westbrook 3/19 FGs, 7 turnovers, team losing in a rout, tumbling out of playoff contention.

I'll take Lillard please.

I knew we should have drafted Westbrook instead of Lillard.

What is Damians #'s in the same situation?

rookie year: 1/8

So 9/34.

Not that great, but better than Westy.
