Yes, there are tons of reasons. We aren't being 'invaded' but the current system is broken in many ways.

If I were king I would first make it simpler, faster, and cheaper for those crossing to work to do so legally rather than illegally.
That would free up a lot of resources to find those who are problems (drug smugglers, etc)

Secondly I'd make the permanent immigration process much, much faster - there's no reason why people should have to wait a decade or more to get approved.
Having an absurdly long processing time just encourages people to skip the official process and come illegally.

I don't buy the fear tactic that Trump throws out their, however my own thought are we need a better system regarding immigration. Just because Im for managing our borders with common since, doesnt mean I'm advocating trump agenda. You seem to throw me in the Trump dump, just because I have some conservative, some liberal, and some moderate view points. Does have to be all or nothing?
I don't view you as just a die hard new wave democratic socialist. I know you have stated you are not a one ticket guy as Im not.

Wouldn't it make more since to help theses people stay in their home countries, by helping them so that they could stay and fight for their freedoms against all that suppresses them?
If they had pride in their country they should stand up and fight against tyranny with help from the UN. Why should they be forced to leave without a fight.

But then consider the dudes street racing in Oxnard. One spun out his old Chevy, went into a yard and killed a six year old girl. The article in the paper said he was being held pending bail. They said he was fortunate, he would not be deported, as Ventura county is a Sanctuary.

But I am not. Dad and family spent about 30 days in Elis Is waiting for no indication of disease before they received their papers. Dad and grandfather had some good stories of the experience. From what they say it was suppose to be 21 days but it ended up being more than 30 wait time.
