I'm with those other concerned folks that don't like the idea of influences outside the homes of children somehow trying to wrest away the natural/rightful responsibilities of their parents.
sounds like someone who's been contacted by child protective services over domestic disputes and domestic violence....yeah, folks don't want to interfere with all this good parenting that we find in the world......in a civilized world we protect everyone, and those outsiders have saved children's lives......it takes a village to raise a child....if that's being "woke"...count me in. While you're worried about public school teachers your pedophile old white guys and priests are molesting children within the confines of that "family protection". When a teacher molests a kid...lock them up and take away their teaching degree...when wicked old Uncle Feelgood takes little bBobby to the den, don't claim natural parental guidance is at play. I really wish we'd lock this disgusting thread you started. Get woke Tucker!

I simply don't understand why someone would consciously post an obviously volatile subject on a message board even though they knowingly were aware in advance of how it would likely be received by the overwhelming majority of the other posters on that board.

...generally speaking, people who go looking for trouble, typically find it.

Yes. I Did.

BTW, here's an updated article from your favorite publication. While their previous article identified the article as targeting kids as young as three, this updated version relates 10 and under.

Either, way, I'm with those other concerned folks that don't like the idea of influences outside the homes of children somehow trying to wrest away the natural/rightful responsibilities of their parents. Woke Leftism at its finest. Indoctrinate often and early.

No you didn't. You just gave an anonymous quote from a HS kid.

Also, there's something pretty damn funny about a religious person complaining about indoctrinating youth early and often.

External indoctrination is a far cry from actual parenting.

Yeesh.

Maybe you an share which passages are indoctrinating youth? Which ones were sexualizing children? Which ones you took specific offense to.

Ahh, the processes of wokeness. Next stop, primary school libraries.
Still can't actually say what it is you don't like in the book, huh? You just allow articles to tell you what to think and when to get upset.

When it comes to judging character and ethics of people in authority you have the worst track record around. Wokeness can help you out of that muck. Just took my 2 year old grandson to the library for children's Storytime yesterday.....wow, what a battleground! Librarians tried to actually read stories to the kids..the horror! Find something worth while to focus on Tucker....education is apparently not your strong suit. Libraries aren't as scary as you think they are.

No, the articles simply reinforce what I already knew to be true. It ain't rocket surgery.

Yet you never come out and say I saw these passages in the book and I disagree with them for x reason. You post other articles, like here, you post random quotes of unknown people, or you deflect and hide. There's no level of discussion. No attempt at discussion. Why don't you just post it on your Facebook page and hunt for likes from like minded dolts.

People learn creative original thought in places like libraries....doesn't shock me that nonreaders go for the cut and paste headline chasing method of expression...it's the lazy way and you don't have to even think about anything but a headline. He's just fishing for shock value which is a dime a dozen on the internet with all the propoganda and editorial spin. Think about who actually voted for Margorie Taylor Green or Paul Gossar.....yep. That's what you're dealing with here. Cult members droning catch phrases.

K, I'll remember that. Oh, and be looking for "A Smart Girl's Guide: Body Image Book,” to be landing in your grandson's library in the not-too-distant future. That storytime should be a real hoot.

That said, it's not necessarily the public libraries I'm concerned with. Among other things, it would be school libraries - primarily, Primary ones. The ones where little kids might come home one day and declare, "Hey, Mommy & Daddy, guess what I learned in school today!"......

"I learned to love who I am, and to be who I feel I am. I no longer feel trapped and under tremendous societal pressure! Thanks for being loving and caring parents for listening to me and talking openly with me! Unlike this other girl in my class. She's bisexual, with a shitty politician for a father who openly disdains people like her. So she attempted at a very young age to kill herself."

I worked with 3 to 5 year olds. We often read books like Jacob's New Dress, amongst many others. We had an open caring environment that allowed every child to know that they were free to be who they were. Never heard a single complaint from parents. Quite the opposite, actually. Their 3 to 5 year old kids would come home and initiate conversations about race. About gender. About kids with 2 moms, or 2 dads. They didn't have bigoted pieces of shit for parents, so we heard nothing but praise from the parents.

Kids are a lot more capable than you and many others on the right are willing to allow them to be. Way more capable than you and many others like you at hearing and seeing concepts they haven't experienced yet, and being open and willing to learn. They haven't had that beaten out of them yet by ignorance and hate. It's a shame that that's what you attempt to do.

You talk about kids keeping their innocence, then keep that innocence of being open and loving to ALL. They start with it. Sects of society take that away from them. People like you that say some of them when they are of age should not be allowed to be married. Should not hold certain jobs. Shouldn't have certain rights.

Unlike you...my grandson can handle diversity. He's not hidden from the realities of life. I raised children to have empathy, tolerance and kindness towards all people unlike your cult. I don't live in a fear of gender or homophobic bubble like you Tucker....get woke. You subscribe to the least tolerant cult ever to vote in America. The lack of tolerance even went after my interracial marriage which thanks to Joe Biden is now protected by law as well as same sex marriage..you are welcome to practice your own version of hetero life on your own time...what you're not allowed to do is to pry into the choices of others ..especially those you don't even fucking know. Get a grip.
