Article in New York Times detailed how trans hating became Republican cause. They need a moral panic to cover their unpopular agenda. For years overturning Roe was the goal. Now that it happened, Republican legislators are going full steam to restrict women's bodies but these moves are unpopular even among Republican women, let alone swing voters. Support for legal abortion has increased as people see the real life consequences. Raped children. Women forced to carry nonviable fetuses to term. Women with sepsis since doctors are afraid to terminate partial miscarriage.

They screamed about the awful things that would happen if same sex couples married, but none of them did and marriage equality now has majority support.

Critical race theory, which isn't taught in grade school, worked for a time when they talked about indoctrinating children, but the reality of shuttered libraries and banning teaching about Martin Luther King and Jackie Robinson don't sit well.

Anti trans plays into anti science prejudice, long an issue on the right and more so since Covid, protecting children supposedly, parental rights and discomfort with people they don't understand. The liberal woke elites are cutting off your boy's nuts and sending men into girls restrooms! Be afraid. Ignore everything that endangers children. It's not hunger or guns or poverty, it's trans.

We got together for lunch today, along with our wives. Good times! That said, I was taken aback a bit as, all this time, I had thought he was a conservative's conservative. Au contraire, He voted for Obama....twice, and carries quite a number of liberal qualities. He was surprised that he got banned. He figured I'd be banned LONG before he was. LOL

Anyway, he did say he's love to email you some time. PM me your email if you're interested at all.

Cheers

That's because he was putting on an act, and failed to realize that it got old and no one cared about it anymore.

Biden would've been banned in here.....big time.

So, if you dress in drag in Florida, you get put to death now? WTF

It won't be so blatant at first. I'm sure they'll first find a case where a queer person actually does something like a crime with children around, and make sure they have an airtight case, then go for the death penalty. Once that works, they'll start expanding into more and more questionable circumstances until precedence is set up to allow them to do full kangaroo court mass trials against queer people.

This might never happen, but the mechanism is there. This is how you set up Stage 8 of genocide though.

I would never do drag because I’m way too lazy to do makeup (shaving is already too much work) and high heels look very uncomfortable. If cozy fleece pants only came in pink I would still wear them. My wardrobe is based entirely on comfort.

my favorite meme related to this was about how in America, a majority group, for sake of this argument I'll call them...wytes, were complaining about how they were becoming a minority. And the response "Why are you upset? Are minority groups treated differently than wytes are? Boy, that would suck"

I wouldn't do drag because it wouldn't be who I am.

I also wouldn't wear a kilt, because it's not who I am. I wouldn't wear a suit, because it's not who I am. I don't have a manbun for the same reasons. I don't dress goth, or like I'm a pokemon or a storm trooper, or any of the other costumes people wear at comicon, LARPing events, or SCA events.

But I'm perfectly fine with anyone dressing how they like and feel comfortable in their own skin.

I agree..... but I don't think you understood my post.

It's really simple. If people don't like a movie or a TV show or a video game, they can not buy it. Or watch it. Or play it. Or whatever. I don't understand complaining about it. Just don't pay your money. Same thing applies to beer. Don't want to drink a beer with rainbows on it? Don't buy it. Hollywood and the gaming industry can decide how they want to proceed as a business if their bottom line is hurt by poor performance on their content. We live in a time where there's so many options for entertainment. If someone is struggling to find something that they like, they're really not trying very hard. Not EVERYTHING needs to be something that I want to play/watch. Kind of like there's a ton of foods that I'm not particularly fond of.

Had Richie Rich not compensated for his 15 minutes of fame being dead, and made the stupid ass video, I'm willing to bet you the VAST MAJORITY of us would have no fucking clue about anything that he was bitching about.

I had no idea who the lady was, and honestly, when I read the name in print I thought it was about Dylan McDermot.

Actually, no not him, the other Dylan who was a famous actor. Actually, who the hell am I thinking of?

You lost me at Richie Rich

Are we talking about that horrible Macaulay Culkin movie?

Oh.... and are you talking about Matt Dillon?

YES!! Matt Dillon.

I honestly thought that is who everyone was talking about.

Richie Rich = Kid Rock (I assume you knew that, but not everyone knows that Kid Rocks country/grew up poor/white trash roots are based 100% in a lie. Kid grew up in a mansion and is named Robert James Ritchie, so...Richie Rich)

I didn't like that dude when he first went big in the 90s.... I didn't like him when he swapped over to country rock.... I still don't like him

Same here. He just looked like someone who peaked in HS, deserved to be punched in the face, would wear a wife beater non ironically, had spaghetti noodles for arms but would act like he could take you in a fight, and you KNOW would stare at underage girls and would say shit about them that had he not been famous would get him killed.

He's basically your stereotypical wrestling fan who is a mouth breather (and I say that as someone who was a wrestling fan for a while). And not saying going to college is the end all be all, but he just came off as someone who didn't go to college and did not improve his brain in any way shape or form since.

I saw Kid Rock when he opened for Aerosmith at the Tacoma Dome and that was a great show. Also saw Kayne when he opened for U2 at the Moda. Another great show.

I still don't understand how he took Sweet Home Alabama and basically just changed the words a little bit and had a hit song.
