I am so confused.

Transgender is when you identify as male when you were born with vagina or identify as female when you were born with penis. Is this correct?

What about non-binary, what does it mean?

Non binary people are biologically male or female but don't identify as a particular gender. They use gender neutral pronouns and claim attributes of both male and female. That's a simplification but short answer. Not all non-binaries present the same way.

This week, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene put forth a string of amendments to the must-pass Food and Drug Administration appropriations bill, advocating for a sweeping ban on federal funding for gender-affirming care and the hospitals that provide it. The primary Health and Human Services appropriations bill has moved forward, incorporating a clause aimed at prohibiting all federal funds for gender-affirming care. Similarly, the defense appropriations bill that fuels the US military has already secured full house approval, complete with a blanket ban on all fundingfor such care. This could wreak havoc on the lives of trans service members, or those with trans family members, should it ultimately be enacted into law.

Further funding bills for children's hospitals, veterans' affairs, and other key areas are following suit, each laden with comparable amendments. Despite the mounting potential fallout, this pivotal issue seems to be largely overlooked by major media outlets, a misstep given the potential for this issue to gridlock substantial portions of the government.

The push is to make gender affirming care bans into the new “Hyde Amendment,” an amendment commonly added to funding bills that bans federal spending on abortion. These amendments would do similarly, banning all federal spending on gender affirming care. These amendments could target everything from Affordable Care Act insurance plans, which fall under the regulation of Health and Human Services, to transgender people in the military, who must get their care through the military. The military would then be banned from providing such care - a defacto trans ban for servicemembers. Collectively, these amendments would seek to enact national anti-trans bans that would reach even people in deep blue states who have fled anti-trans policies in red states.

Ohio State Republicans outlawed all abortion. Not popular. Citizens collected enough signatures to put an initiative on November ballot to codify legal abortion in state constitution. Polls show solid 58 percent support.
So Republicans called a special election for August, when turnout is low, for a measure to raise threshold for passing citizen initiatives from simple majority to 60 percent.

They created a group with the Orwellian name Protect Women to support the initiative, made up of two anti abortion groups and a right wing Christian organization. They have large financial support. They are running ads that don't mention abortion or democracy, since they would lose on either. It is entirely a fear mongering campaign against trans people, although citizen initiative has zero to do with trans people. They have scare ads claiming minors would get gender surgery without parental consent. Men in girls' locker rooms.

They can't say they oppose democracy and want to force every woman and barely pubescent girl to carry pregnancy against their will. They would lose. So instead fear evil trans people.
A decade ago it was scary Muslims. Scary brown people always. Just hate someone enough to vote to hurt yourself if it might hurt them more.

When I worked with the school district library as a board member we had an issue with an elderly evangelical lady who checked out books and went home and censored them with magic markers blacking out any sexual references or swear words, etc...she ruined a complete leather bound Louie L'amour western collection this way. Defacing books is an outrage. Removing them is cowardly at the least. There are many Christian bookstores these folks can support if they need censored material to read. I just don't get it.

What's really amazing is that the Catholic Church has apparently been validating said agenda for centuries, since trans-substantiation is a key tenet of their doctrine.

Just wait until all the bigots find out that the alternative is the woke, trans-mission less electric car. (Or biking, but let's face it, that's also a blight against polluting the world which must be part of the woke Soros agenda).
