HOLY FUCK.

This deserves its own thread. The quotes from Dame in this article are just INSANE.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Damian Lillard invited a few people to his home for dinner on Monday night to watch Game 4 of the first-round series between the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets.

For several minutes, the Portland Trail Blazers’ star guard sat quietly on his sofa, chowing down on fried catfish, red beans and rice, and broccoli. And then suddenly, he spoke: “I’m getting rid of these mother------- tomorrow.”

“He was doing that on jump shots,” Lillard told Yahoo Sports. “That’s not when you’re supposed to rock the baby. You rock the baby after overpowering someone in the post. He had one layup in the post on me. Look it up. I’ll live with his jump shots. He wasn’t rocking no baby on me.”

Lillard showed a social-media clip of him telling Westbrook, “Stop running from this ass whoopin’,” as Lillard grew weary of Westbrook switching off him, while Lillard continued to be Westbrook’s primary defender.

“The way I see it, it’s basketball,” Lillard told Yahoo Sports. “I know I ain’t no b-----ass mother------; so it doesn’t bother me. If they think I am, then we can take it off the court and find out for sure.

All of a sudden, Game 4 on Sunday instantly became a must-attend event … or so it seemed.

“Nah, stay home and enjoy Easter with the family,” he told Yahoo Sports after that Game 3 loss. “Come watch us close it out on Tuesday.”

“I’m going to get the last laugh,” he said. “I promise you that.”

Guys, as you know i'm italian, so i would like to know why "badass motherfucker" got Lillard so angry.

I thought it was a "standard" trash talk, nah?
Is it that bad?

somebody explain this to me, thanks.

Read the ----- between the B and ass. He didn't say Badass. He said Bitch instead of Bad. Is what i'm thinking.

I'm not sure that anyone said that directly to Dame.

I think he's saying the 'rocking the baby' and other things he felt were disrespectful is treating him like he's some kind of "bitch-ass motherfucker".

And he promised to show that he's no one's bitch.

And he did.

And what came out of Westbrook’s mouth during a few of his post-basket outbursts was the B-word, something most players wouldn’t dismiss without an altercation.

So, technically, who is a bitch ass motherfucker and why is that so insulting?
"Bitch" is technically defined as "female dog", but has taken on many other insulting characteristics over the years, being used to define unpleasant females, and then to describe males showing female-type characteristics, or to describe someone being inferior. Also often used to describe to describe someone in the submissive role in a relationship (like someone in prison making another prisoner his "bitch"). For Westbrook to call Dame that (or as @BBert suggests, for Dame to view it that way), is basically equal to telling Dame he's beneath Russ, that he's not on the same level, that Russ "owns" him.

For Dame, a man who possesses supreme confidence in himself and his ability, to be called or treated like another man's "bitch" is an insult of the highest order.

Hopefully that makes sense.

I don't think Westbrook said that to anyone. It's just a perception that Dame does not like. He doesn't want to be seen as a loser who cannot back up his trash talk.

Westbrook non l'ho detto per a nessuno. Invence, Lillard non vuole essere considerato debole e ecco perché l'ha detto.

I didn't see any post game interviews so IDK

Difference between LMA and Dame is Grand Canyon size. LMA's team folded after Wes injury, Dame and his team beat OKC 4-1
Love the avatar picture change. In a night where there were many memorable moments, giving that face into the camera is perfect.

Nurk showing up!

Dame with the bye bye wave!

CJ seeing Dame wave and giving a quick wave as well!

The bench reaction, specifically Kanter!

Nurk and Moe hugging!

PG and Westbrick walking off the court!
