that's right, this december there will be the first expansion of my family.

perhaps that explains why i haven't been here to much lately. that and the new job (it's a full time gig making sure guys like MS don't mess up our national team
) have my mind racing most hours of the day.

the little guy or girl is healthy as far as we know and aside from suffering from random bouts of crapping my pants, everything seems fine.

you may recall i asked how much a baby costs 'for a friend' awhile back ... yeah that was me. i know, how very sneaky.

i seem to be wrapping my head around the whole thing though.

the best part?! I've gained more weight than my girl has so far. i sure do love eating and am really happy that she's game for a good buffet these days (although that seems to be cooling off a bit).

whaddya guys think - save my vacation time for when the baby comes? (so much for vegas this summer).

congrats!

And not that I have any experience with having a kid (and hopefully won't for a while), I'd say save up all the time off you can get.

Congratulations man. Thats wonderful.

Make sure you tell us the progress whether its a girl or a boy.

I'm a little scared that you reproduced, but the reduced posting offsets that feeling a little.

Just keep in mind that millions of people less competent and less equipped than you have had children and everything turned out just fine.

The fact that you are so nervous and are already thinking of ways to make the baby your first priority indicates that you are going to make a great father.

Congratulations to you and all of the restaurant owners in your general area!

Congratulations, shookem! That's great to hear.

I'll probably be the same way when I have a kid. I know it's weird, but I can't wait to have a kid. I'm looking forward to it.

Congrats, man!!! That is seriously some good stuff. When my daughter was born that was the greatest moment in my life...nothing has ever come close thus far. Congrats again, and good luck!!!

BTW....you better save up that time-off

i don't know u, but congratulations, i always say a "child is a gift from god"..........cherish every moment of it!!!!

Well, at least we know that you know where the hole is. Can't say the same about your ball game though...

Congrats bro! If it's a boy, name it after me and if it's a girl, name it after Yinka. I wish you all the best and I'll see you at the next national team try out!

^^^if my throat didn't hurt I would laugh...........

Yinka is a good name!

Congrats, my friend.

Congrats Shook

Definitely save up that vacation time. Once the little one is born, you are going to want to spent a lot of time with them. Of course you'll be completely sleep deprived, so you won't be able to work anyways.

Congratulations! Hope everything works out for the best.

And save that vacation time.

Congrats! If I give you 500 points will you raise it to be a Nets fan?

I had a little Inkling that the 'friend was you'. Thats the skill you get from watching Programs like Hey Arnold and Recess.

Congrats dude. Have a virtual beer on me

I second this. Or you can name him Eugene, or her Eugenia.

Congrats on the baby,

lol sneaky with the thread on "for a friend"

Congrats, man! Having a kid is something I too am looking forward to. Four of my cousins have already had children, and seeing them run around at a reunion thing today was definitely a site to see.

Congratulations!

I think alot about what kind of father I will be, and when the right time to have kids will be, I'm looking forward to the day though.

Congrats man!!
I'm 9 months into my first child and believe me, it's a life altering experience.
save the vacation time, your girl will appreciate all the help she can get, the first 6-12 weeks are HARD, especially if she is planning on breast feeding (read up on it, it's much healthier for the baby, much harder for the mom). On the plus side, breast feeding.. MUCH cheaper than formula. If you do go with Breast feeding, find a breast feeding clinic, my wife really found going there helpful when she was learning how to breastfeed (it's an art apparently) Just don't be THAT GUY who goes with his wife to the BF clinic.. there was a few that showed up to my wife's.. yeah weird indeed.

make sure you got a good camera and a big SD card, you're going to be taking lots of photos and be happy for it too.

save your $$$ things the baby needs are going to spring up left right and center you'll need the cash.

Once you see that baby for the first time, you're hooked. It's your child and your the one providing the love and guidance to this little one and it's an awesome feeling.

thx guys. i'm pretty hyped, although I'm beginning to get the feeling it'll cut into my drinking time somehow?
