Personally I think thats bs...The Nets have a solid fanbase that are very good fans but the arena is in the middle of nowhere and is a complete pain in the ass to get to. Now if that arena was in Newark or New Brunswick I think attendence would be double if not tripled by the fact mass transit is so much better.

I love the city of Boston, think its a beautiful place and I've traveled there several times in the past few years including this summer and I rarely if never saw Celtics memorabilla or people wearing jerseys. The Redsox shit was everywhere and so was a lot of Patriots stuff. Personally I think the majority of Celtics fans are winners fans. Honestly few teams in this league have really good fans. I hate saying this but Knicks fans are a solid group...I mean there load and sometimes stupid but they still fill up MSG to watch a shitty team.

i said if the nets dont make it. If the Nets and Celtics played each other in playoffs, I would root for the Nets. But if the Nets get eliminated, I root for another team to kill boredom.
I do it every year. The year the Heat won it all I was rooting for the Mavs for example when the Nets got eliminated.

There are a lot of diehard Celtics fans out there, and I think most of the Celtics fans here at s2 are diehards. That being said, whoever made the points about this year's bandwagon jumping and the fact that the Celtics are the #3 team in the market was spot on. Trust me, I hate Celtics bandwagoners more than any Nets fan could ever hate them. If that's your reason for hating them, then I support your opinion 100%. Other than that, I don't think there's a lot there for you guys to hate, other than the fact that they are better than the Nets.

And yeah I know we aren't always supposed to win but all three of our "big three" are in the top 3 of each of their respective sports with one being reigning champs and the other being one of the favorites to win it all. Why shouldn't I be cocky right now? It's great to be a Boston sports fan. You wouldn't have heard me talking about how great we were in the 90's because we weren't doing shit. I was still a fan, I just wasn't cocky. Why wouldn't you gloat when your team's doing well? It's a slap in the face to all the people who downtalked them during the dark ages. That's what being a sports fan is all about and it's what every sports fan thrives for. For their team to be the best. I don't get what's so hard to comprehend about that.
