Why do people get so worked up about MIXUM? He's harmless. Just ignore his threads/posts, and if you stumble upon one, just pretend that you didn't read it.

Is everybody here really so weak that they can't handle a poster who lives outside of the community norm? He's the crazy drunk uncle that you tolerate, and eventually either you're in on the joke, or you ignore the joke. What does banning him accomplish, other than create a 'mob rule' atmosphere on this board.

Did you guys learn nothing from BBF? Bannings led to the migration here, and now people are advocating bannings here. It's dumb.

You have every right to start every stupid thread that you want, doesn't bother me. You also have every right to NOT hold a door open for an elderly woman. You have the right to NOT wear deodorant in public even if you aren't allergic to it. You have the right to listen to Godawful Lady Gaga as loud as you want at the gas station and annoy everyone. You have the right to have 10 children that you aren't going to raise properly, there are a million things you can do that aren't illegal.

Your constant bitching and negativity is pathetic if real and horrific/funny if fake. You can do that all you want but if you are like this in the real world you probably don't know or don't care that everyone you meet probably hates you. I worked with someone like that and watching him be a dick to everyone he came across was like going to the zoo and watching a unicorn play poker with an elephant. It was just unbelievable to me that someone's brain could be wired so poorly, so much so that I thought I was imagining it.

Sounds like more of a "you" issue, IMO. Others can tolerate those that are a bit different, so long as they're not harming anyone.

But there are weirder and more unlikeable characters on the board, like the guy who says everyone would punch him in the face if they could.

Mixum is only a symptom of what ails the forum as a whole. I quit because there are posters on this board who continue to break the rules by personally attacking other posters, but nothing ever happens. They are warned, and warned, and warned, but nothing comes of it. Mixum is only one of those people who continually breaks the rules with no consequences.

Don't really know, never tried to count. Plus I do it a few minutes at a time all throughout the day/night, so it isn't easy to add it up.

I didn't stop moderating due to MIXUM. MIXUM doesn't bother me...either he amuses me or I ignore him. I stopped moderating because fundamentally I don't enjoy doing the job. I've done it from time to time with this community (back on BBF and here) in order to help out and eventually always stepped down because I prefer just posting.

no one is running Nik out. He is a valuable member of the community. And a very valuable member of the site staff as well. Very sad to see him step down. And many other mods share the same sentiments. But you gotta do whats best for you.

Of course, the internet is a big place; you skin this place, there are plenty of others. A reasonable person, however, thinks of others. I dare you to be reasonable; personally, I think you're too much of a Cluster B personality type to actually think of others.
