Re: Is mixum really banned?

A bunch of fragile and judgemental posters spearheaded a two-prong attack to get rid of him.

1) Hijack most threads by MIXUM to make them about MIXUM, and then whine to the mods for the threads being about MIXUM.
2) Bait/troll MIXUM by continually starting threads about him, or even worse, consistently posting his personal information, and then crying to the mods when MIXUM dares try to post to them.

I find it hilarious, because about 5 posters out-trolled MIXUM, and ultimately got him banned.

Today is my 1st day posting in a long, long time... It's 100% due to the fact I don't have to wade through tons of Mixum's crappy posts (even if they were hidden)... Thanks to all the fragile and judgemental posters!!! You guys rock.

Is there a "Hall Monitor" pin that we can award certain posters?

Yes. You deserve one for your constant whining about things related to posters, and not basketball.

Here it is. Print it out and wear it proudly.

Thick, rich irony... this post delivers.

Which posters do I constantly complain about to the mods, other than BenDavis503 when he was PMing me threats?

Do tell. I'm curious to see some examples of me playing Hall Monitor.

As I understand it, a Hall Monitor is a pseudo-authority figure who metes out punishment to offenders, and reports to the real authorites with complaints and calls for further punishment.

That fits blazerboy almost perfectly, iMO.

Funny that I can disappear for a year come back and the same dramas are being discussed...

Re: Is mixum really banned?

Well I guess Mubarak finally got back to modding the forums.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

The whole thing that went down with mix was in the thread where one of the mods stepped down. He got baited, mainly by a poster who i have seen bait others including myself, and then got banned. The explanation in the thread wasn't great other than that he violated the core rules of the site (which, imo, most everyone does). I think its dumb on a internet forum to try and police it like its a grade school. I get so sick and tired of talks about personal attacks on here and posts/threads getting edited for personal attacks. For one, they arent policed properly at all, and two, who the fuck cares? This is the internet, not real life. We are not in Mr. Linus Oey's 9th grade honors algebra class at La Salle Prep here... I think some people take this shit way too seriously.

You came back on a drama-filled week. Luckily, it's basically contained to this thread at this point.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

Is it kind of odd that people can't stop talking about Mixum, even though he's been banned?

a thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it

What's odd to me is that numerous posters in the thread that got MIXUM banned posted that they would now visit this board regularly, and that MIXUM was the reason that they don't post here.

Crazy thing is, I'm not sure I've seen any of them post in the few days since MIXUM got booted. :dunno:

Re: Is mixum really banned?

I'm looking forward to more substantive discussions.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

Arguments are extremely vulgar, for everyone in good society holds exactly the same opinion.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

I'm looking forward to more worthless posts in this thread.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

I'm looking forward to more substantive discussions.

The Oden thread has turned from people pondering what an interview means to pondering the substantive issues of Oden and the Q.O. that the Blazers must (IMO) offer him. One of the rare times a thread went from a gripe session to an actual discussion that is based in realistic scenarios.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

Hey I'm going to go ahead and merge this thread into Nate's original stepping down one since both threads are pretty much about the same thing. While it's important that for those who want to discuss Mixum being banned because hopefully in the end it while help to make the forum better I just don't think we need two threads covering it.

You're welcome :-)

Fascist!!

Er, wait, I agree. It would be nice if this now-merged thread becomes the 'super thread' for personal complaints. Talking Oden's future in a civilized manner in another thread has been refreshingly fun. :)

Just read in the OT section that KUFO is no longer a rock station, and instead will now have Glenn Beck, Lars Larson, and the rest of the Nazi Youth on the air instead.

I blame MIXUM being banned for this ridiculous change.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

I don't know what this *Deleted* is you speak of, but can someone please ban the use of the word *Deleted*? I'm sick of seeing this odd word in every single thread on this forum.

Or perhaps, start a separate *Deleted* forum where people can share recipes or whatever elsewhere, and turn this back into a "Trail Blazers" forum.

Thank you for your kindness.
Ha, Ha! Sly. Awesome.

Rigghht, it was everyone's fault but his own. All actions, good or bad, have consequences.

It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.

you know what...since this place is getting so much better when we banned MIXUM...imagine how much better it would be if we banned (insert your name here).

success!

:ohno:

Beck and Larson on a station with the call letters "UFO"? Seems about right.

Re: Is mixum really banned?

Not odd when you had years of some posters both angrily claiming MIXUM was a troll and, at the exact same time, responding to him in massive volume. In other words, they were purposely choosing to feed MIXUM exactly what they claimed he wanted. :)

It all leads me to believe that the most vocal complainers were looking for drama, they just wanted to be included! It's kind of poignant.

Glad its over!! Let's get back to discussing the Trail Blazers!!!!!

Please, please, please let's just not utter his name anymore and move on.
