His efforts against GS, was impressive in my eyes. He has a lot more energy, more body movement, selection of shots, and just downright hustle. I can see how offseason work has paid off. Your guys thoughts?
Hey, if he can play the backup four effectively, I'm all for it. Unfortunately none of the games have been televised, so I can't really comment on his play because I haven't seen it.
The one thing Dante has going for him is that he is a smart basketball player. He may not have all the physical tools, but he has the motivation and the IQ to play.
So basically what you are saying if it wasn't for ME........ you don't know shit!
I have been very high on Cunningham since he started playing for us. He reminds me a bit of Calvin Natt. He's tough, smart, has good mid range shooting and plays mean defense. I think we'll have a very hard time keeping him as he is destined to be a starter and do some very good things in the NBA. But for now, it's a joy to watch him get better.
He may be hard to keep, but I am not sure he is destined to be a starter. I see him as a perfect 6th man as he can play a couple of positions. But if there was ever a tweener, Dante is it. And Tweeners don't usually start. (But very valuable none-the-less.)

David West is a major tweener and he's an All-Star, so you just never know. Hell, if Dante can board and shoot the consistent J while playing solid defense, he might just unseat Aldridge as the starter![]()
West has a huge wingspan, too (over 7'4"). He's legit PF-size.Plus he is a little bit bigger listed at 6'9" 240 than Dante.
Cunningham will be the best back up forward in the history of the league in 5 years
Kevin Love will be our PF by the time that day comes.
I don't know how you stand on that issue, I like it, so I assume you are against it, but that would be wonderful.
Don't pay attention to the boards much, eh? I've been Love supporter and LMA basher for about a year now. Seeing Amare mess with him in the playoffs last year was the final straw.
I'm not negative about the team though, just to be negative.

The reason I might disagree with you is that I've always seen a true "sixth man" as one who can come in and really make things happen- at either end of the floor. Dante doesn't strike me that way. He seems to me to be a very steady player. He quietly goes about his game and compiles good stats.
Let me watch West play some more without Cp3. He was not quite allstar status with out him. Plus he is a little bit bigger listed at 6'9" 240 than Dante. But you are right, you never know. i hope we can keep him as a utility guy.
thats my take on his recent play too. Some of the threads of late where posters are reading deep into the box score tea leaves make for very dull comedyHey, if he can play the backup four effectively, I'm all for it.
