I agree, though it would probably also need to be someone with existing national name recognition and a lot of charisma, in order to really catch lightning in a bottle.

I bet Mark Cuban could mount quite a campaign over the next 6 months if he were interested in doing so.
 
If there were EVER a year for a strong centrist third-party candidate to make a run, this would be it. If the Libertarians could put forth somebody who's socially progressive, fiscally conservative, and not crazy, that person would stand a great chance.

Not gonna happen though.

Ha! I like Cuban, good business man, savvy dude. But Geez, I can't see him wanting to go against Trump. Hillary might be a hoot for him but not Trump.

But if Trump picks a good Democrat as his VP, his put American first thyme will have some credibility. Now this Pres. race is getting very interesting.
