From the twitters:

I'm told the Trail Blazers are increasing interest in Sixers C Jahlil Okafor. Portland needs to add depth in their front court.

Saying we offered Noah, Aminu and 1st round pick for him. Not sure how to embed tweets here. Dwight Jaynes re-tweeted it if you want to find it

Thats not a great offer but not ungodly lowbally him as Aminu is on a GREAT contract. I can't think the 76ers would realistcally want him.

Needs to add depth to the front court? Wtf? We have more players than we have minutes.
Right? I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how Terry is going to get all these guys minutes. Okafor seems promising, but I'm not sure how much sense it makes now that we have Davis, Plumlee, and Ezeli.

Only position on our roster that is "Weak" is the point guard. But it's not really that weak when you consider the fact that CJ can play the 1 as well.

Dame, CJ, and even Turner can play point. Every position has at least 3 good players that could play there and start on half the teams in the NBA.

PG Dame/CJ/Turner
SG CJ/Crabbe/Turner
SF Turner/Moe/Aminu/Crabbe
PF Aminu/Davis/Harkless
C Ezeli/Plumlee/Meyers/Davis/

Maybe PF is the weakest position, but Aminu is such an advantage there and Davis might be the best PF off the bench on the league. Vonleh could breakout there next year and Meyers and Harkless can slide over as well.

We have depth but Okafor would be a big upgrade for our bigs. None of them have his offensive skill set or upside.

Lack frontcourt depth lol

I am interested though... But idk what the Sixers realistically want from us? They certainly aren't getting either Dame or CJ. Crabbe and Leonard can't be traded till January I think.

I would add Plumlee to the package as well, i think Okafor can be a real bright spot for a future.

The only 3 bigs we really need to keep imo are Davis,Hark\Aminu (not both) and maybe Ezeli (i don't like players who get injured a lot).

This rumor isn't true. Common sense says so. Olshey mentioned in two different press conferences playing aminu at PF this season. Don't think they would be talking like that about a player they would be trading

It isn't that hard to understand. We have too many bigs (Ezeli, Plumlee, Meyers, Davis, Vonleh, Alexander and also Aminu and Harkless) so we're looking to make a 2for1 or a 3for1.
Aminu plus Vonleh and/or maybe Davis and see who we can get in return

He could probably play power forward even though he doesn't stretch the floor at all. We'd probably include Plumlee in the package because we couldn't possible get him minutes otherwise. Ezeli/Davis at C, Okafor/Leonard at PF would be doable but pretty slow and unbalanced. I'd rather keep Aminu. If Leonard was tradeable in a package then I could see him + Vonleh + Plumlee + pick being offered but it's a poor deal for Sixers.

That's a believable offer actually. Not sure if Okafor fits the culture, I'm not familiar with his personality, but he can ball. We could then trade Plumlee in a separate deal to someone that needs a center. Maybe we can get a non lottery first for plumlee and add that to the package for Okafor?

Dame
CJ
Turner
Okafor
Ezeli

Damn that's legit.

I know were deep at every position now, but I could totally see Olshey using it to get an impact player. Depth is great, but if you have the chance to sacrifice some of it for an impact player, you do it. Okafor fits in that category. Not sure philly would do it, but I'm sure they'd rather deal him to a western conference team lol.

Yep but the issue is we only have 2 players who can shoot from 3 point range. Turner is a poor 3 point shooter and Okafor will probably hit about three 3-pointers in his entire career.

That's true but I still think turner spaces the court with his playmaking ability. He also did improve his outside shot last year so maybe he keeps developing in that area, similar to Aminu.

I just don't see Aminu as our starting PF. It's gonna leave us way undersized. I hate CJ at the point. He can create his own shot but does nothing to get others involved. Still need a legit PF and solid PG off the bench. We have the pieces to make a move to fill these holes.

Yep we'd basically be swapping Aminu for Turner in that scenario and I think Turner is a better player. Another worry of mine is whether Okafor would be able to adapt to a power foward role, he's pretty poor defensively at C but might be even worse at PF. I rate his talent very highly offensively though and if he could improve his defence he'd be an absolute monster of a player, so it could be worth a risk. His upside is enormous and considering Sixers were not even able to get #3 which turned into Jaylen Brown for him means he's probably not really much "in demand" across the league.

Issue is there aren't many power forwards who would fit in here. There's lack of quality at PF across the league IMO. Players like Jabari Parker will be impossible to get for us.

Having Aminu, Turner and Harkless in the same team might be overkill though, especially as Crabbe can also play at small forward. We also have way too many centers. A package of Aminu/Harkless + Leonard/Davis/Plumlee could be properly tempting for some teams. Aminu + Davis/Plumlee for Millsap would be marvelous business for instance and Atlanta might even go for that if we throw a pick at them as well.

This would be brilliant. Consolidate some of our "good" talent to bring in a difference maker.

Dame
CJ
Turner
Millsap
Ezeli

......50 wins+

Yep that looks a great line up. In the East it's a contender.
