I'm working from home this morning, so I these numbers are for my home computer

Comcast, $19.99/mo

Download: 14.20 Mb/s

Upload: 4.10 Mb/s

Ping: 30 ms
 
I'll be interested to check these numbers on the work line.
 
Says I can't download it because my OS is 64-bit
 


This is my connection at work... Pretty strange that the upload is almost on-par with the download.

Not really. If you had a dedicated line, like an OC3, that would be normal.

Me, I'm stuck with Qworst. So I don't even want to do the stupid test.

OC3 would be MUCH faster then 4 up 4 down.

T3 is worse then OC3, by the way. And 4 up 4 down is not abnormal for T3.

I've had that rate for three years. All you do is say you're switching to Qwest. Once I actually had to switch for a month, but they came knocking on my door soon thereafter.

Qwest are a major ISP for a lot of customers here at Sun. We always have to call them up to test circuits and they are the biggest bunch of douchebags.

I didn't mean specifically he would have that bandwidth at OC3, just that his bandwidth up and down would be consistent if he had a dedicated line. I didn't want to say T1 because that isn't enough speed so I just thought of the next level up.

I don't even know what kind of line we have at work. But 60 down is pretty nice!
 
mine is on par with buzz... but i don't pay for internet, I just tether with my phone.
