Yeah, I've heard bad things about Australian internet. New Zealand is also pretty awful -- My dad's family always have trouble calling us via Skype.
 
At work: 59.67 down, 31.95Mb/s up.
At home: much much slower.

I was Comcast before. I switched to clear for a bit because my friend is a marketing manager for them so I got a discount for the first 3 months.

I can't imagine the net goign that fast. I'm starting to get into online video and shit like that....I need a dedicated business line but it sucks ass in my neighbor hood.
 
My home connection is slow, because it is just a cell phone modem, but right now it is especially pathetic for some reason:



I think I've now got both the highest and lowest reported speeds in the thread.

As a side note, I'm pretty sure Tacoma is not <50 miles from Portland.

Yeah, my family in Dunedin have terrible internet.

hey barfo, do you use one of those laptop cards or do you tether with your phone?

It depends on what you do - I mostly read/send email, and post here. Neither requires much bandwidth. If I needed to look at a lot of porn, though, I'd have to do it at work.

Results for me.

I pay around $55 and it's Comcast. Damn good speed, never have a problem.
 


It's advertised as 15M/1.5M.

Yeah I get way more than what I'm supposed to get. I think they have it as 12M/3 or 4M.

They've also been very good, whenever I had questions, etc. I run two computers on this now, plus phone through internet (lot of intl calls), and also iptv to catch 25 channels from my country. (all through internet)

Lot of times all are running at the same time and speed stays the same. Also ps3 online now. lol
 


This is since I moved -- On Fios. I should be getting 20/20, I'll try again later.
 


This is at my gf's apartment. She doesn't pay for the internet, her landlords do. Fucking Qwest.
