Ipod problems

Do you guys know what to do when your ipod is on, the light thing is on and everything but you cant change songs or anything, I mean its just like frozing and the light is staying on and I cant do anything with it. Do you guys know how to fix it?

try resetting it (press and hold menu + center button)

no, unplug it and press the buttons. it should reset the ipod and bring it out of whatever it is. unfortunately you will lose some minor settings (EQ and such)

How long do I have to press the buttons for because it's restarting, I dont even know what happend I was switching songs then just out of no were it froze and it been stuck on the same song and it has the light up still.

How long should I hold those buttons down for?

just until it shuts off and comes back on which is like 5-10 secs maybe less, it should come back on w/ the apple logo showing
