Is anyone else physically sick over the loss?

"Moving on to more important things" this afternoon was the therapy I needed. I wrote letters to 80 casting directors to let them know I was back in NYC. I felt much better after doing that. I'm still antsy for tomorrow's game. I'm watching it in my apartment and I think I'll be standing for most of the game. I get keyed in.

Sounds like that was several letters keeping your mind occupied. You were in a movie recently, right?

Tomorrow's game is an important one. We can stop Houston's momentum while gaining another game closer to ending the series. We're fortunate that game is in our house.

Yes we are. I did a movie two years ago that is now coming out on DVD and is supposed to be on Netflix soon. I haven't seen it yet so I can't recommend it.

You say that as if that was possible and the players just chose not to. Houston is a good team. Even Miami didn't come out and blowout Charlotte out of the gate today.

9-0. You didn't see how unfocused we came out?

I've done this for every game this series. I am sure my downstairs neighbor is pissed right now. lol.

What's the name of it? I'll keep an eye out for it and watch it.

Is it the fact they beat us 3-1 head to head this year or the fact they have home court advantage that makes you think differently.

Do they have home court advantage back yet? They have to beat us one more time in Portland, but we don't have to beat them in Houston... So that tells me we have home court advantage now.

Why because he is black? Or because he has Aids? Or because he is a Hall of Famer and knows more about basketball than anyone on this forum will ever know?

None of the above. Because he's a Laker.

I didn't expect a sweep. I think it's better to lose game 3 and have game 4 right back at home to nix the Rockets momentum shift, rather than losing game 4 and heading to Houston.

Even though Houston won the game Portland had t he momentum in the 4th quarter and OT. Then a couple lucky bounces and the ball landed in Daniels hands.

Physically ill... lack of sleep... nope. Bummed a bit.. maybe a couple hours.

It's a lot harder for a team to play uphill than downhill. When you get a lead, the opposition is playing uphill. Force Houston to play uphill instead how letting them jump out to a huge lead.

You can come out focused and still fall behind 9-0.

Yes, yes you can. However, they had open looks because our rotations were slow. Hence, the unfocused reference. I'm not like cmeese; I actually watch the games.

Haha nice. I hear you.

Blazers need to come out tonight like the series depends on it. I think it does. We just can't let them go back to Houston with the momentum and home court advantage they'd have on their side.

We need this.

Go Blazers!

is anyone else on a high over the win?

I still have a nervousness and a little bit of disbelief on the win. Might be one to sleep on for a night. Usually I'd be ecstatic after a win like this, so I'm sure I'll be soon enough.

I'm fine with the loss. It's painful losses is what make good teams, great ones. If we were to sweep the Rockets we would be painfully unprepared for the 2nd round.

Think back to those incredible Jordan era teams, they didn't just arrive to the playoffs a great team. It was those knock down drag out fights against the Detroit Pistons that taught MJ and Pippen what it took to win in the playoffs. Two years in a row losing to the Bad Boys and "The Jordan Rules".

Do you want to see this team achieve greatness this year? Next year? The year after? We're going to have to get our nose bloodied a few times.

What I love, absolutely love about this current team is that they never give up. There were times in the 1st and 3rd games where the Blazers could have given up and say, "it's not our night." But they didn't, they keep fighting and fighting.

There's absolutely nothing to feel ill about. This team has the strength of character, the heart of a warrior and we're watching them discover just how good they can be.

I love being right!

I. Feel. GREAT. I will thoroughly enjoy the next two days. We get THREE chances to get out of the first round starting Wednesday. Let's do it on our first try! Go BLAZERS!!!!!!
