They kick off at the bottom of the hour. Dame is up for breakout athelete against Super Bowl winner Richard Sherman, as well as Best Play, which he is up against the Auburn Kick return vs Alabama. It's hard to be up against football in a popularity contest.

Will dame win an espy in his first nominations?

There were actually a lot of really strong messages/positive moments during the awards. I love that they created a category to honor our veterans.

Damn, I guess that song Honorable Mention is for Dame.

I'm no fashionista, to put it mildly, but some of the styles were, well, weird. I love Damian but his jacket did look like the inside of a sleeping bag. Russell Westbrook's shirt reminded me of the pajamas my younger brother used to wear when he was about 8. Dr. J's stripes? Kevin Durant dressing for St. Patrick's Day? And who was the Seahawk in gold lame (that's la-may, not lame, I don't think accent marks are available) shorts? OMG!

Of course the man showing conservative classical style was Michael Sam.
Skyler Diggins was lovely, elegant, sexy and tasteful. Miles ahead of the halfboob look (and so obviously fake!) of the so-called supermodel.
