Is McDyess Back?

I know he's been back on the court for a while, but I mean is the 'real McDyess' ready to stand up? His game's obviously been rusty since he came back, but against the Nuggets he started and had 15 points. Who thinks he can keep this up and start giving regular contributions?

If Dice keeps up numbers of say 15 and 7 then the Knicks will make the playoffs with no problem.Basically as long as Knicks stay heathly they are a playoff team.

We will never see that Nugget/Sun McDyess ever again, book that.

Playoffs, still far fetched at this point, though the 2 current bottom seeds do have records below .500.

Health and steady play will do it, so I won't give it to them just yet, they have to show us a lot.

The Knicks are currently in 9th spot in the standings.Of course that doesn't mean a whole lot at this stage.They have won 2 straight and both times Dice has started.Last night he got a double double.12 points and 11 rebounds.Hit some key baskets late in the game.Allen Houston is back from injury.He was on fire last night finishing with 39 points.They have the big man in the middle blocking shots getting those rebounds.Deke has even been scoring well lately.Keith Van Horn although can be very unconsistant will get you some points and rebounds.Lets not forget Kurt Thomas one of the most dependable guys in the NBA.Very soild big man who will play hard all night.Will get you 11 and 9.If Knicks decide to bring him off the bench as Dice's back-up they will have a good rotation.Dice won't be the player he was in Denver.Averaging 20 and 10.However I do feel he can at least put up 15 and 7.He can still play the game well and isn't yet getting into his stride.

I think the Knicks feel that their 2, 3, 4, and 5 spots are playoff caliber for the East. I think that their only concern will be at the point spot. That being said, I am just wondering if the Knicks will try to deal Thomas for a point, and then realize that Dice isn't what they had planned on, like the 16 and 8 or 14 and 7 player they need. If he's more like a 12 and 6, which is what I think, then losing Thomas will make them a weak rebounding team as well as offensively challenged when Van Horn has an off night.
