If he keeps playing like he did the last two games and we climb out of this hole and get a Top 4 seed, does the narrative become Melo lifted the Blazers from the abyss and into contender status? I could see it. Happy Thanksgiving, by the way.

I hate to be so curt, but his stats wont be anywhere close to good enough. Like the numbers Doncic, Harden, Lebron, KAT, Dame, Giannis, are just going to be so much better than Melo’s.

If he continues to play like he has, he’ll be important for the Blazers, and thats awesome!!! Unless he’s averaging about 30 He’s not gonna be even close IMO.

If you think this is actually a possibility you should make a bet, bc you could get something like 5000-1 odds

I think melo will come down to earth and average about 15 ppg on 45% shooting.

If he’s a fairly efficient 15ppg scorer thats what they were hoping to get out of it. Id be happy with that. Especially if he’s not a black hole and is at least giving effort on defense.

I said IF he does what he did the last two games which would be....

22 ppg 6 rpg 2 apg
61% FGs, 50% 3pt 100% FT
Defense. Leadership.
Plus a GREAT storyline

Honestly Im having a hard time determining if those stats are even guaranteed All Star status... Its close the shooting %’s are great.

Its just not close to the top 10 or so guys and what they’re putting up, and Melo may be huge for the Blazers this year, but its Dame’s team, not Melo’s.

He doesn't have a chance. LeBron stands in front and the Lakers are finally real.
