Is Meyers Leonard For Real?

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Lets be real. He'll wait until Nards has one good game and then post about how right he was.
Nevermind the fact that before hand Nards had a couple weeks of poor games.

Eric's way of baiting others is just as annoying as certain posters in the OT section./Certain posters who only appear when Portland is doing poorly.
Example. The thread, 'How can you trust Damian Lillard'.
Simply my reply also said.

You really shouldn't pick and choose like marazul.
Makes me want to bump the "Meltdown" thread.

a real person, yes. a real basketball player, no.

If you think Meyers looked like an NBA role player last year, you ARE irrational

False.
If you can't see Nards was better last year than the previous two years.
Then I'm not the irrational one.

How does that relate to this thread or my last post to you? How can I say "I told you so" when I never told you anything? This thread was opened as a discussion not a statement.

Gotta repeat myself I guess.

Curry is horrible

Career low games and minutes played, so any stat will be skewed.

Offensive numbers looked better, but defense was worse

So, the offensive numbers were skewed, but the defensive numbers weren't? Just asking for clarification.

Only problem is I don't start those threads lol.
Also I might be a Nards hater, I also give Nards credit when he deserves it.

I'm actually one of the few on here who is okay with Ed Davis being gone and Nards having a chance at those minutes.
I said multiple times last year that Nards looked like an NBA role player.. And deserved more minutes.

I'm not irrational like certain posters sir.
I actually think the minutes ML got last year he looked ‘better’, I dont know if Id say he looked good, but he showed improvements at least offensively. He still appears lost (at least to me) on team defense, and he doesnt rebound as well as Id like.
You’re opinion here may turn out to be right, but I personally would rather have Ed than ML.

Curry is horrible. 3 championships and no Finals MVP. Sad.

I wish Dame was horrible enough to have 3 championships...

Basketball is a team sport. Curry lucky to be on championship team. Put Dame on Warriors, they still win titles and win in 2016 because Dame wouldn't have choked in Game 7. He would've hit the three over Love and he would've won Finals MVP.

Based on past experience, he's every bit as real as:

He is on his journey for a hall of fame career!

I thought the title of this thread was about Leonard's painful interviews. Oy vey

Maybe Meyers was better than the year prior. Both versions are below replacement value of a player on a minimum contract. So I fail to see why improvement in that context matters.

I'd love to choke in one game and still win three championships. Damnit.

Has nothing to do with numbers.
If you watched the games Nards played in without bias. Overall Nards was a better player than the previous two years.
He showed over limited minutes he deserved a bigger role.
However Ed was there and clearly was the better big. Therefore Nards had no place on the court without injuries.

I don't like it because frankly I'm setting myself up to expect something out of Nards.
When I have never once enjoyed him in a Blazer uniform.
But Nards showed last year he deserved a role on the team.

I am not biased nor am I irrational with my dislike of Nards.
Unlike, frankly... You.

I'm finding it REALLY difficult to look at Meyers without bias when YOU KEEP CALLING HIM NARDS!

So you are saying his defense was better, or just going off offense?

I do not like Nards.
I'm one of the biggest haters on the guy.
I'm just not going to be completely bias against him like some posters, and am willing to say he was better last year. Frankly because he was.

Nard's overall game was better last year.
He got exposed when he was on the court too long.
But in limited minutes both sides of the ball he was better and not complete drift wood.

It was more of the entire MVP presentation but what got me was when Brook asked him what he had been working on over the summer, he grabbed the mic from her and in a weird voice said " Being a hammer and shootin the rock! Flame balls baby! Good night!" he then walks away. :smiley-pat::smiley-loony:

This would have been an opportunity to show that he has grown....... mentally.

Around 1:40 below.

"We gon' let y'all finish, but Jake shoulda won!"

Butters gets the Kanye!!!

No, he wasn't. Statistically, his defense was a career low.

Also, 0.00 bpg

As someone who hates Nards on the Blazers. Even I can admit Nards was better last year.
You can't because you're too obsessed with stats, box scores, and your irrational hatred of a player.

He looked better offensively, but I don’t know how you can objectively say he was better defensively. He looked as lost as ever and the numbers support it.

The mere fact that I remember a few times last year Nards was in position to contest a shot. Fail horribly at it.
But in position non-the-less.
Shows improvement.
This is not something that happened the previous two years.
As it's been said in this thread by someone arguing with me. The numbers were too small of a sample size to actually make a fair judgement.
Therefore any numbers argument for, or against him is completely invalid.
However this same person keeps going back to numbers. Just like you just did.

Nards is going to get first look at the backup Center spot with Davis gone this year.
It's things like actually being in the right spot on the court... That will keep me from making my first ever twitter account and getting it blocked by Nards.
