Is Michael Sam setting up for a lawsuit?

No, Michael Sam is a single person who self identifies and presents as male so is properly called he. I doubt he'd look good in lingerie and he has expressed no interest in wearing it.

But good illustration of bigotry and bullshit, why am I not suprised?

For my lingerie joke it's cause you have no sense of humor. Is joking only ok when it offends either no one or strictly conservative straight white Christian males?

I think he came out so that he could get groupies. We may not like the same sex partners but he is still a man and having tons of groupies can only be a good thing. If not for HIV he would have it made in the shade. Dudes can't get pregnant.

I can tell you this. The locker room thing makes me wonder. If I showered with a womens volleyball team I couldn't handle it. How does he do it? Maybe he learned to control it from a young age.

I have a sense of humor, it's just that SlyPokerDog is not funny.

It is possible to have a joke that does not involve insulting someone.

And I seriously doubt Sam wants a lawsuit, his presser at the Combine indicates he just wants to play football.

Yes, he most probably will attact attention from gay male groupies. Not sure if he wants it or not. He's a big boy, he can take care of himself, I'm sure!

I just want to be non-gender specific in any pronoun I use from this point forward. They will be happy, because nobody will potentially be offended.

True. But the lawsuit hangs a label on the NFL. So a behind the scenes threat and he gets paid.

Legal extortion.

But I think few NFL fans would really take that charge seriously. What the NFL should take seriously is the Jonathan Martin case, if they want to show their stance against discrimination. I don't know if he is gay but they should take the same stance against that kind of behavior that any workplace should.

Michael Sam had a disastrous combine. Now I don't think he will be drafted at all.

In todays sports section of USA Today, Sam is already insinuating his rapidly dropping value for the draft (apparent after a poor combine showing...) has nothing to do with his football ability and that he is being judged by his sexual orientation.

So I do wonder if this isn't a set-up for a behind the scenes payoff under threat of a lawsuit. We will probably never know.

He's a player like any other. He should be treated as such. No better, no worse.

All due respect, Maris, Limbaugh lost his marbles a long time ago, always assuming he ever had any.
