Seriously, what's left?

Are we at the point where it's kinda like when I was a kid and had a dime in my pocket, wanted to buy something in the worst way, but knew it wouldn't buy squat, so just came home with it and threw it in my change jar?

I have a feeling some sort of curve ball will take place. I'm still certain Matthews will be gone before the season starts

Interesting.

Olshey has yet to make a bold trade move. Not that he can't/won't.

Hmm...what big trades did he engineer while with the Clip show? He got Paul, correct?

I don't think so Mags, team looks set up fairly well, if Wes or LMA goes I think it's more likely at the trade deadline

Footage of Neil Olshey in the war room...

I think he needed to get the asset/talent gathering stage to a much more advanced state before he can move on the that "bold move", I like what I see so far. IMO some teams with no realistic playoff hopes have made really stupid moves with players and their contracts, I like Olshey's plan and execution so far

What are the chances of Hickson being sign/traded vs. leaving outright?

I think moving LA is still on the agenda.

Tone and Wheels apparently feel the same way.

Man, you guys never give up. Any idea as to what you'd want in return?

No, Olshey is not done 'shopping'. Whether he makes a move this summer or near the deadline remains to be seen. But my bunion is certain he's still considering moves.

I think they would have made more of an effort to keep Hickson if they were trading LA. But I'd like to see what we can get for an LA/Batum package.

For Aldridge? I think there's a few threads on that

I mean now, after Olshey has restocked the roster with a supporting cast for Aldridge, after you've said in another thread that you could see this team winning 50 games with the current roster, WHAT IN HADES DO YOU WANT TO TRADE ALDRIDGE FOR?

;)

No, he is not done. He is still surveying the field. When some poor schmuck who would normally make $7M/year doesn't land a job because everyone has spend their cash, Olshey will swoop in and offer them our exception.

I would want horford and no one else. I think he is the one player I believe is at the same level as Aldridge.

that's exactly what i've been thinking. i think he's going to get all the i's dotted and t's crossed on these moves on july 10. after a little time, he'll then do some shopping for a 3rd center with the exception money.

Yep, good answer. In one regard, one step forward...then bring the other step....and so on.

I agree completely. First he had to gather assets, now he can consolidate them. For the record, we're still a little lean on assets, but our bench is just so much better than it was, it seems like a huge improvement.

If we keep Aldridge (I think we will); we need that wing. I wish batum could step up to the next level. If he does; then we are in like Flynn!

i think it will take a little time to see which players are not going to be picked up by other teams. basically i think we're looking for an insurance policy type center at this point.
