OK, I'm 41 years old and I come to realize that 25 year old is interested in dating me (I think). She is a friend, getting her Masters of Wine, and she's cute. I have never dated anyone more that a few years different then me. I really don't know if I would end up just dealing with drama or if it could be worth the trouble.

Another problem is that she is a good friend and central to the group of friends I hang out with, so if something went wrong between us, it would kill my social life.

Also, I'd honestly be a little ashamed with my old out of shape body next to her fantastic one, but I suppose I'll get over that.

I date girls with about the same difference in age occasionally, but sometimes they can get weird, some don't care. Just need to test the waters, per say.

Today, people seem to be "growing up slower", so even though you're 41, you still probably have the same mentality as someone younger.

Eh.. if you want a serious answer, I'm not too worried about the professional issue. Colleagues hook up. It happens. But, if it could ruin your social circle, that could be a concern. It makes things awkward if it ends badly or someone's feelings get hurt. But, in the end, life is short. If you think it could be fun, live in the now.

This is a big issue for me. The is a very small industry, it's ok to date, but one bad fuck up and I'd have to move to another state. Of course, she really doesn't strike me as the crazy/vindictive type, and I'm not a ass to women I date so most likely a breakup will be fine.

We actually aren't students together. I am studying Enology and Viticulture, (grape growing and wine making) she is getting a Masters of Wine, which is more what sommeliers get. But she works fairly high up in a quality winery here and is friends with all my student buddies.

I hate that high school shit. I think she digs me, and it's fine if I'm wrong, I'll just get a nope, and that would be easy to get over as long as I'm nice and don't persist if turned down. There would be an awkward week, that's it.

Very possible, but that's what I though after the first several hints, but now I'm feeling more confident. And I am not in terrible shape like I used to be. I look much better in clothes though, and that's the only way she's seen me. I've lost 100+ lbs so I have much more flab than it appears with clothes on.
