.........so they will be compete next year!
Do not like that team, their manager &
organization. :tsktsk:

^^^so far, the "experts" have the predicted finishing divisional standings bass ackwards.

they never have a clue of what they're talking about

looks like they've gotten the Yankees right - they got old fast...looks like 81-85 wins, no playoffs

an absolute joke if Cashman survives

I'll see your five and raise you 10 on that, I disrespect that entire organization myself. Every time they lose I am happy.

This should be a good year for you then....I hope so anyway....

..."they never have a clue of what they're talking about"...but yet, they were right about the Yanx...check.

At this particular point in time the Blue Jays would have to be the surprise team in the division. Yankees have 6 crack at them coming up but it's a different Toronto team than last year. Truck Driver and Buehrle (whom I've always liked) are pitching well and they've had a couple of youngies step in and fill the bill. The Yankees lineup should bop but has not gotten wired to this point in time. Without Tanaka this team is 20 and 24, that man has saved the bacon to now.

...but luckily, the Yanx DO have Tanaka.

..and yeah, the Jays are the team they were supposed to be last year...that said, they're certainly not getting it done with pitching, and realistically I don't see them sustaining their early offensive dominance.

My own theory on Toronto whacking is that it came up on a wave and the opposing pitchers are being a bit slow to react. Be that as it may though they do have some people who are down right scary. I like what I see from Whitley, Phelps and Nuno have some ability, been praying for Kuroda and unconcerned about Sabathia. Would be nice if the Yankees somehow came on a surprise pitching gem like Small back in '05. Really am p@@sed on this offense underachieving. The Yankees should have taken two or swept this series.

...yup, they've definitely underachieved so far...hopefully things will pick up.

How do you win a division with ONE WINNING Starter?.....
and an unreliable bullpen.....and injuries every week?

...and a very silent (free ride)GM!

...typing "ONE WINNING Starter" in CAPS is supposed to signify sarcasm?

...and how about; "an unreliable bullpen.....and injuries every week?...and a very silent (free ride)GM!"

...was that also sarcasm?

That simply sounds like the truth...! :devilwink:

Is the sky falling, AGAIN?

Either that, or the Moon is on a Crash Course with the Bronx...!:MARIS61:

Could be a return of Halley's Comet too, or the Halle Bop....got any Kool Aid...before we join our space ship....? :koolaid:

This is a .500 baseball team not even playing up to that level right now. 14-17 in their last 31, 12-14 overall at home and a -23 run differential. This is a team that needs major help. You have no clue what you're going to get out of CC and Beltran when they return. Tex is going to be battling this wrist ordeal and be in and out of the lineup all year. Guys you need production from like Soriano and McCann just aren't getting it done so what are they left with?

Oh and for the home crowd's added pleasure outscored 24-8 in the their last four home games.

The Yankees are a 5-6 game winning streak away from being serious contenders in the east but unfortunately with there anemic offense I just don't see that happening any time soon.

...and the pleasure is all yours.

I constrain myself. If I really went off and gave my real thoughts on what Cashman has put together here they would ban be from the boards. Thankfully the Stanley Cup Finals will keep me from reaching that level for a little bit longer.

...yeah, I'm sure it would be riveting...and I'm sure it would be nothing we've heard before.

Quite simply there's nobody in this lineup that opposing teams are worried about.
