Is the 7th seed still in range??

Lillard hatred just needs to stop.

Lillard has been unconscious since the All Star Break.

31.1 PPG
49.5 FG%
43.2 3P%
90.9 FT%

Plus we're winning....

The star always gets the most hate during down times. The hate speaks volumes (though his D still leaves room for noise).

But damn, he's been good since the ASG.

Let worry about getting in the playoffs first then if we have time go after 7th seed.

Definitely over blown. Only guy in the league that should be claiming to be a closer right now is Harden.
Come on now, Harden doesn't have a reputation as a game winning shot maker. His only closing strength is at the FT line, you can't deny how good he is at drawing fouls. However he still doesn't shoot them at the percentage that Dame does.

Dame has killed like half the teams in the league at this point.

Lillard time is real, and only overblown by the most homeristic of homers who expect him to hit every shot down the stretch. Dame is clutch personified.

That's just not true. He is a good leader & exceptionally tough of mind - but is not a high percentage shooter in the clutch; the stats show.

He's on a tear as of late - but his signature chucked 30 footer shot is still a terrible shot.
Why anyone would think that a 37% 3 point shooter (has been way worse most of season) , pulling up from 30 foot, is an exceellent go to move, is incomprehensible.

I don't believe that you have to shoot a high percentage to be considered clutch

Volume > Percentage

Either that or this guy is the most clutch player in the history of the NBA/ABA.

They still have not beat the Nuggets for the 8th spot and you are talking 7th spot?
The Blazers need to win 4 games to clinch the 8th spot. Nuggets could lose 2 and help them out but getting the 7th spot ain't gonna happen.

You shut your mouth when you talk to kingspeed!

The Nurk effect:

Damian Lillard:
Pre All Star: OFFRTG = 108.4, DEFRTG = 110.7, NETRTG = -2.3
Post All Star: OFFRTG = 113.4, DEFRTG = 107.0, NETRTG = +6.4

We had a shot at the No. 7 seed until the Nurk injury hit and after tonight's loss, there's relatively zero chance we move up.

I think we'll miss the playoffs. Almost all of our remaining games are against teams with quality centers.

Have you seen Denver's schedule from here on out?

It could be argued that we might be better off missing it but I don't see that actually happening.

Spurs will be resting starters and the Pels are eliminated from the Playoff. Portland has a good opportunity to win both of those.

They only need to win one since I don't see us winning another game if the Pelicans have Davis and Boogie.

I only see Den winning one so I guess it will be close then. But as TBpup says I see us winning at least one.

Still think you can get the 7th seed? Maybe you better hope they can just win another game or two and try to lock up the 8th.
Why are you mocking my desire to have my team play well? Are you a Blazers fan?

Yes but doesn't it seem like teams that have been eliminated always play hard and give us hell? Oh and the Spurs bench always crushes us for whatever reason.
