Is the gay marriage ruling an attack on Christianity?

The hyper-secularization of American society isn't an attack on Christianity per se, but why focus on Christianity? Perhaps it's more appropriate to consider all religion and faith that represents 84% of the world population.

Muslim, the second largest world population at 23%, has pretty unambiguous attitude towards LGBT community. Christians actually have a diverse array of acceptances, though mostly from smaller sects that some consider as pandering for larger congregation ranks.

You can legislate marriage equality and leverage media to influence society, but you can't make people accept a lifestyle choice that is instinctually opposed to natural order. I think where people get confused is that Christianity didn't teach me that homosexuality was wrong or sinful, it only affirmed my instincts that those acts are outside natural order.

I can support the privilege to wed by the State, but only God can can witness your marriage. Any tolerance I have on a secular level should never be confused by the underlying position that LGBT activities are outside the natural order and therefore outside God's grace (acceptance). I have no anger or hatred for sinners, only sadness.

Any attack on religion may come later as some elements of the LGBT community try to further force acceptance. As I explained above, this would be a fools errand, one borne out of confusing tolerance for acceptance.
