Was that the straw that broke the camel's back? Is it even worth Nurk risking coming back at this point?

agree & its better that he comes back now versus wait fro next season that way he should be more ready for the start of next season.Yes, a while ago.
I think its its really important to get Nurk back, not for this year, but let him get 15-20 minutes a game get confidence in his leg, get back up to NBA speed, Ive come back from different injuries and always find the mental aspect usually harder than the physical ones. Obviously if he’s not ready or still a high injury risk then no its not worth it.
Atlanta was it for me too. But as if there was any doubt these last two have made it obvious.I think it was losing to Atlanta. The Suns game was just as bad. This one didn't really change anything for me?

Bring Nurk back anyway...
He needs the confidence.
We need something to cheer for.
But.....
I am not a believer in blaming the coach. Never have been.
NBA is a players league, you wanna blame coaching go watch college ball.
But......
This defense.....when it gets THIS bad
has really, for the first time, got me questioning this entire coaching staff...
That's unprecedented for me.
Not to belabor the obvious, but have you considered that in some respects Stotts acts like a college coach? He blindly expects the players to adapt to his "system", even when they aren't a good fit.
It certainly looks like he wasnt ready to comeDame shouldn't be playing either. Just rest dude.
Out of curiosity, in what way do you feel that the personnel is not a good fit for the system?
One obvious example: replacing Nurk with Whiteside. Different skill set being asked to run the same defensive schemes. (which weren't that effective to begin with) Then there is the situation with Melo. IMHO he is a terrible fit at both ends, but Stotts won't change the way he is used , or change his minutes/place in the rotation. Third would be the CJ/Dame pairing - but we have all talked that one to death! There is also the issue of who plays PG when Dame isn't on the court.
It’s seasons like this that I’m pissed we didn’t get an NHL expansion team.... we need something else to drown our sorrows into.
Seattle got their team... why can’t we have one?Yep it’s bizarre to me that we don’t have an NHL team. I can only guess that Paul Allen didn’t want the competition.

As someone who lives in Michigan may I point out that this is not necessarily the solution. It’s seasons like this that I’m pissed we didn’t get an NHL expansion team.... we need something else to drown our sorrows into.

Not too late to become a Liverpool fan, though!
I already am a Liverpool fan.

What a time to be alive, huh?I already am a Liverpool fan.
Did you know that in 2003 (i think) the IOC Magazine listed Portland Oregon's Rose Garden as the #1 rated hockey facility.......in......the......world.....It’s seasons like this that I’m pissed we didn’t get an NHL expansion team.... we need something else to drown our sorrows into.
Well you don't have to play them the way he is? I don't like to second guess people doing things i have never done but i probably would look for a different combination at this point.I'd consider the Melo and Lillard/CJ pairing issues to be ones of roster construction, not coaching scheme.
