Is there any point at which you would physically revolt against our government?

I really don't think there is much of a chance of a violent revolt in America. Perhaps mass protests and new political parties, but not violence, at least on any large scale.

I sometimes watch those Prepper shows on TV, and they are so many seem certain there will be a violent revolt, and they stockpile 10's of thousands of rounds of ammo, but then they all say they plan just use that to protect their own property. Well, if they are the ones who are actually fighting, I don't think there are many others more fringe than them to actually attack.

I fully expect small skirmishes, a protest gets violent in DC or Houston, or some specific local, but I don't see that catching on.

On a more serious note. One of the laziest, most obese populaces the world has ever produced in a shooting war with the mightiest army the world has ever seen? Good luck with that.

If politicians are good at one thing it's making illegal crap look like the right thing to do. I expect there would be a fair number (at higher levels especially) who are brainwashed into thinking what they're doing is right, ad they might hold sway over quite a few beneath them. I think you'd see a half/half split.

Naw..the officers are collage grads, most have attended post grad etc..these are not "mind washed" drones.

I think you are very optimistic ... in any case it wouldn't be the military (except to quell mass riots) it would mostly likely be our Gesta ... er ... police agencies handling the response against all of the "whacko, terrorists"

The U.S. has 2 million people with Top Secret clearance. It spends at least a couple hundred billion dollars per year on the Secret Government. They audit our every message board post, e-mail, text, and private PMs to moderators.

Meanwhile, the U.S. makes the world hate itself with continuous wars. The country is dependant upon its main rival, China, because it lives on debt.

So, which end is more probable, by internal revolution, or by China giving up on debt collection efforts, taking the world's advice, and nuking us real good?

(They solve their population problem in our counterstrike, retain over a half-billion people, and send a hundred million north to take over the globally-warmed Siberia because they nuke Russia in the same strike. I predict it comes in 2080.)
