Well, is there? I'd go find a tweet to post instead but the closest I come is listening to Tweeter and The Monkey Man. Great song by the way.

Thank you. I feel much better. I now know that it's OK to post a thread, and have ZERO replies. My Joe's Momma thread didn't go over so good, however, it did get two likes.... Lol

(and no, this doesn't actually count as a reply to your thread....)

Mahatma Gandhi did not win a Nobel Peace Prize. So Obama doesn't stand a chance.

Obama has a better chance of winning the Nobel Medicine prize. Portuguese scientist Antonio Egas Moniz won the Medical prize in 1949 for inventing lobotomy to treat mental illness.

Most of mine have little to no replies. It seems the people that might try and defend his bullshit prize have me on ignore. I should win gymnast of the century if his prize is deserved.

You mean actually earning it? Because he did "win" one.

Earn or win? Term used by Nobel committee is awarded. Guess we both are wrong.

Gandhi was nominated 5 times, but was never awarded the Nobel Peace prize.

Here is a C&P from the NobelPrize.org site.

Gandhi was nominated in 1937, 1938, 1939, 1947 and, finally, a few days before he was murdered in January 1948. The omission has been publicly regretted by later members of the Nobel Committee; when the Dalai Lama was awarded the Peace Prize in 1989, the chairman of the committee said that this was "in part a tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi". However, the committee has never commented on the speculations as to why Gandhi was not awarded the prize, and until recently the sources which might shed some light on the matter were unavailable.

Well, just making sure we were on the same page. Nobel Peace prize winner is a common saying.

He clearly didn't earn jack.

Sounds like you are butt hurt.

The rules are, the Nobel prize committee makes the decision. Just like the rules are that the electoral college decides the presidency.

Suggest that it's a bad decision, you are, by the current popular definition, butt hurt.

Haven't said butthurt much myself. I do love how dreadlocks on white people is cultural appropriation but liberals don't seem to mind trying to steal terms for themselves and trying to use it on someone else. You know, butthurt and snowflake for example.

You using that term is like Roseanne calling Adele a shitty singer.

I don't know Roseanne or Adele so I'll have to take your word for it.

But since 'butt hurt' and 'snowflake' are the most popular phrases these days, it only makes sense that I'd use them. I gotta be down with the latest hepcat lingo, daddy-o.

Now I gotta 23-skidoo...

Why don't you make like a tree and get outta here

I'd happily accept a Nobel Prize if someone wants to give me one.

Talk about a fantastic collaboration - love The Traveling Wilburys.
To an undercover cop who had a sister named jan, for reasons unexplained she loved the monkey man.

Something like that. I loved that song and that group for many of the same reasons I loved Johnny Cash and System of a Down, or RATM or Public Enemy. They tell stories and say something while pleasing the ears...in vastly different ways of course.

Throw a little NIN in there. All amazing lyricists/story tellers.
