I think Aldridge wants to be a leader but isn't a natural leader. He is learning how to connect and say what needs to be said. The real trick will be can he make you believe he's one in the locker room? When someone isn't a leader and tries to be one, sometimes they come across as being fake and people can't take you seriously. You'll know a leader when that person really doesn't have to work hard to get people to listen. They just listen because they believe in you.

Personally leadership for him is when times get tough, he demands the ball. He picks up on the defensive end and will score regardless if the team isn't doing well. When I see that, I'll believe he finally turned the page.

Well uhh...he just started doing this? That's pretty disconcerting. It's obvious he's a passive guy by nature...but if I'm the captain of an NBA team...lets just say he isn't there to make best friends with everyone. If it's me, I'd run the team like Jordan used to; almost ruthlessly.

Leadership is like a side-effect of your personality and mindset.
It's either there or it isn't, you can't just decide one day to be a leader.
