I tried that, and I couldn't figure out how to take that much cash back without adding in another expensive player going back. I guess in the grand scheme of things Prz going back to the Hornets would be better for them than paying Peja, so perhaps that'd work. Still, I obviously agree; I don't think they'll consider trading Paul until they don't have a choice. Unfortunately for them, I figure that day is coming sooner or later.
I'd think the goal should be trying to get Paul without giving up Roy. Offer them everything but the kitchen sink.
Paul, Posey, Butler
for
Rudy, Bayless, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Blake
At the end of the day, you still have
1- Paul
2- Roy, Butler
3- Posey
4- LMA
5- Oden, Pryz
Fill in depth with whomever will take the league minimum a la the Celtics and enjoy the ride.
I don't know if the Hornets are that desperate yet, but they've got to be at least contemplating such a move in the back of their minds.
and Bayless & Rudy + CPaul seems >>> then Roy + those same two chemistry/fit wise. I'm not complaining about what Portland has, but there is almost always some some bright green grass to admire beyond the fenceI would do it, and it's not because Roy isn't awesome... he is.
Chris Paul is just awesomer.
