Don't you guys remember how that Drexler led 90's squad were notorious for giving up bigs leads? I remember even Chuck Daily and Phil Jackson were mic'd during the game and they even told their team.

They weren't as clutch as you seem to make them be. Neither was the 2000 team.

Those two teams were damn good, but I never felt safe until the final buzzer against the elite teams

You mean, kind of like the Golden State game last week?

That's right. And that team was amazing. I remain convinced that if we would have made it to the NBA Finals in 1991, we would have beaten the Bulls in 6. And the 77-78 team put the 76-77 team to shame. It was unbelievably dominant.

I'll take your word for it since I wasn't blessed to see the 77 team.

But I agree as good as this team was last night offensively and as good as they are on offense in general. They wouldn't hold up to Drexlers team

The Ramsay Blazers got off to a rough start, but once they bought in and understood the system, it was the most beautiful basketball you could ever wish to see. And the 77-78 team had an understanding of Ramsayball beyond that of the team the previous year. The first 60 games of that season may have been the pinnacle of team basketball.

Talent wise, the 99-2000 team was better than this team. Chemistry wise it's not close though.

Ya well if the Refs didn't jump in at the 4th qtr to manipulate that game 7 vs the Lakers, That 2000 team would have been the best with no questions asked. Even Tim Donaghy has said multiple times that the refs went to work in the 4th qtr of that game. So if you want to say another team is the best just because the refs screwed us where does the asterisk sign go?

Damn, BGD with another good point.

The real question is "Has there ever been a thread this hyperbolic for a 6-3 team?"

How'd that play out on NBA2k?

Logged in to say: no.

We've got maybe the best fitting starting five in franchise history, but beyond Kaman our bench can be erratic. Blake, McCollum, Joel and then whoever ends up getting to play a little extra can get hot, but you can't necessarily count on them the way you can count on Kaman. Compare that to the teams of the 90's, early 20's and a few others and it's night and day in terms of an entire TEAM, rather than just a starting 5.

It could be, but I opted for the third choice.

I think we will look back at this team and the voting will be unanimous. Just let go fans, this team is for realz
